I just recently posted in the mash-up thread about the album "American Edit" by Dean Gray.

Check out this track: "Greenday Massacre"-
"Wake me when September Ends" by Green Day vs. "Lyin Eyes" by the Eagles (and some other song snippets)

New Kid in Town (Cantina Karaoke Mix)- 57U-3YM and the Tatooine Swing

With my voice sounding like ass due to a bad head cold I was fortunate enough to have a stand in by a fine 'droid' friend of mine and his excellent backing band. A little different from my usual :-)

Damn that is bad timing - I am just finally uploading it all to my site - slight delay while I factor Stueym into the stream / webpage - check back in 15 minutes or so ...

Voting is now open. 7 songs, another 4 to come.

http://www.johnnycashpoint.com/eagles.html

I will add in the remainder as and when I receive them.

If you are not listed but are about to finish a cover, let me know, I'll put you on (somewhere)

FYI stream plays in the order I received them, page listed in chronological order of Eagles recording them (almost)

I am rocking to the Stueym personally.

Hey, what browser is that page intended to be viewed in? The voting is overlapping the playlist in IE6.

Oh, and it's "Life" in the fast lane.

OK so I have de-centred it, taken out a possible browser confsuing backdrop and set the window size to 800x600. Any joy now, Spud?

Ha, take a closer look at those radio buttons. Mysteriously they all submit a vote for 'j$ & Friends' :)

Nah, only joking.

Or am I?

Nah, I am.

I won't review as I pretty much liked them all a lot. A few random thoughts on those far ...

Phunt Yr Friends' 'In the City' reminds me of the themetune to 'True Romance'. Jack Shite's makes me want to go to the loo, for some reason :) Stueym - Cher is clearly running out of places to launch her 'retirement' tours if she's reduced to playing with the house band at the Cantina! Niv - I don't know this Don Henley song but this sounds really good. Nice to hear your voice again.

Well here's where I'm at. My eldest (18 years old - NO COMMENTS PLEASE) daughter had some friends over tonight and I was lamenting my situation with them. Well one of the kids gets on the phone to his father who is a long since retired weekend warrior guitar player and he ended up coming over and laying down a fairly usable solo for me. I'm in the mixing stage and should have something to J$ by tomorrow evening.

Many, many thanks to J$ by the way for seriously stepping up to the plate on the hosting end of things, and the website looks great. I hope it functions as well and this doesn't end up being a J$ & Friends slaughter but even if it does, he deserves it for serving up the home court advantage alone. Thanks again man, very nice of you.

So anyway, I'll be in soon. I haven't listened to the songs yet, but I'm sure it will be a good fight. Good luck everyone.

(Disclaimer) Dan-O's medication for his hand is making him extremely nice at the moment. When the medication runs out, his usual asshole self may or may not return.

j$ wrote:I'm hosting it, THC is forwarding links to me, so either will do! Don't worry. The quickest way is to me, but if it goes to THC he's emailing me links I haven't got at the end of his day (Canadian time) so it'll be caught one way or the other

Oh, and Spud I will put this version up for # - just replace the mp3 on your website when you're ready (alt. if you want me to host it, send me new link)

j$
Nice job on the page Johnny! I only rec'd 3 song links, and you already have them..so my unwork is done here. Going to listen after a far too long day.

I got Luke's, which will go up towards the end of today (when I am back at home), and will look for Dan-O's some time tomorrow (UK time). Jim did you get a live version recorded?

I did, I think. I've still got to dump it down and encode it and whatnot. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it came out all right. Sorry for the delay.

Peaceful Easy Feeling

Damn Jack – if it weren’t for you admitting to the rain on the window I could almost see this being 3-4 Jacks (like in “Multiplicityâ€

And it worked cause I sent J$ my completed song this morning. He said it should be up later today. Hopefully Mr. Tyrell got his recorded at his gig the other night. I'll give everyone a listen once they're all posted.
