Caravan Ray's mind is old and feeble. He needs several identities because he forgets his passwords and locks himself out of his accounts. I wouldn't be surprised if about 95% of all registered users are actually Caravan Ray.

Yes, Spud and JB rock my world, and I do the following in all due deference to their awesomeness.

OTM: I ask politely, if & when you mirror the archive, please do not include any of my songs. I have no desire to be in any way associated with you, or your opinions; as is my democratic right.

Therefore please ensure that no songs by Johnny Cashpoint, Johnny In The Corner, The Molsen Twins, The Voice Inside Johnny's Head, Transatlantic Fight Club, Hoosenbergler, Johnny Grippo, The Little Smokes, A Small Majority, Dollar Bill & the Inkpoints, Purdy Lips, or the Suave Noise Youth collaborations on which I appear, are included in your mirror.

If anyone I have collaborated feels differently, let me know, and we can arrange for mp3s that don't feature any of my contributions.

Thank you.

Well, I represent about 40% of the registered users (by which I mean, I am them), and I am Caravan Ray. And Egg is somewhere around 15% of the remainder, and he's also Caravan Ray (or, more accurately, he's a manifestation of me, and I'm a manifestation of Caravan Ray).

Look, all I'm sayin' is, you might be right.

And hey Goobaroo, you don't have permission to use my stuff unless you use ONLY my stuff. Your Freedom Site is either all me or no me, no exceptions. I'll leave it to you to find out exactly what it is I've done or not done.

I also forbid the use of Sausage Boy material on a mirror site.

Jonny Juice and the Good Time Boys stuff, fuck it, go for your life. Terrible waste of bandwidth anyway.

As far as how many users there are, I think that your argument is with Spud. Not me.

Her claims that there are 1108 users.

As far as changing anyones minds here, I don't have much hope for that. You are all too ignorant, prideful and foolish. That includes our "humble" JB.

I do this to learn. Spud might want to learn also.

If the rest of you are so smart, why don't you follow Spuds example and learn something.

You all have too many answers and not enough questions.

As far as using your music, don't get excited. I don't think that the archive is worth the trouble.

I have much better plans than those.

Damn. That'll teach me to get my hopes up based on the random ravings of an Internet troll.

So did anyone notice that if you rearrange the letters in Oust the Mods, you get "Shoot me, Stud?"

No?

You also get "moot the suds" which are fightin' words where I come from.

Sorry, that was misleading, as it includes multiple personalities and bots.

Here are some statistics that may or may not be helpful:

In the archive, there are 1651 artists. This is clearly misleading, because as many people have noted above, people often submit under multiple names.

More telling, the maximum number of users online was 110 this past January 25.

Also, in the demographic poll, which has been running for about 3 months, there are 86 votes. I do not believe that there would be any reason for anyone to vote twice, but is is also highly likely that not everyone has voted.

This week's fights brought in 45 entries. That number is typical.

There are 86 people with art submission accounts. Some are songfighters, some are not.

40-80 people vote in the average fight. Occasionally, this number spikes.

I cannot deduce from these numbers exactly how many people are active members of the community. It is clear that some are more active than others, so perhaps the term "active member" is not really something we can so easily put a number on.

Easy solution:

Create your forum. Link straight to songfight.org. No mirroring, none of that. That's a bunch of trouble you don't need. Have your utopian forum, maybe with your own voting mechanisms, so you can compare your votes with songfight's official vote tallies. I think that might actually be interesting.

At any rate, shit or get off the pot. Actions speak louder than words, so please just create your forum, give us a link, and we will check it out and be amazed. Then you don't have to deal with all the prideful morons here at songfight anymore.

You also get "shouted most", "does hot smut" and "eh, mud to toss."

Carry on.
