i don't think they have a website, but if you go to sonofsupercar or ken's webpages, they most likely have pics from past shows.

Any new word on the planning of this? I would love to have both Rachael and I there this time. As well as Justin and Michelle. And maybe my friend/guitar shredder extraordinare: Tracy (He is a boy, despite the name).

ROCK!

I am not ready for that this year, but don't think I haven't considered the idea of hosting a Songfight Spokane one of these years.

The bad part is that there isn't a whole hell of a lot to do here in comparison to bigger cities. The only baseball team here is a minor league team:

http://www.spokaneindians.com

We have a minor league hockey team too:

http://www.spokanechiefs.com/

Seattle is about 300 miles away:

Give me a year or two, and I bet I could plan a kick-ass Spokane livefight, just not yet.

ROCK!

I am still willing to run it, though I've been waiting to see if anyone else wants to take charge in some other city. In the meantime I have begun to make some discreet inquiries into acquiring the necessaries of hosting an event. Patience, grasshopper.

How big of a PA is needed for SF live? I would happily bring one if the show is within 500 miles of Sacramento. In any case, I am very excited, and as long as then event is after my school gets out, there is a high probability I will be there. Thanks to those putting this on.

The speakers just have to be enough to get over a heavy handed drummer. However, the larger the better.

Also, the preamp and or power mixer has to be at least 8 channels. But it would be a huge blessing to have double that.

I kid you not, the PA head is a rare 7 channel model. Isn't that a trip? So I don't have the requisite 8 channels... I do have a 16 in 4 out mixer that I could use in conjuction with it. We practice with a drummer who is about as loud as drummers get and we turn the PA up halfway. In fairness, I don't own the PA ,but it is at my house bc we practice there.

well, I'm not the end all be all.... but an extra mixer would probably help. Perhaps for keyboards and ect...

I just know that last year we squeezed it all out through 8 and still had a good time... but the guitar amps weren't mic'd.

They're obviously talking about this amazing professional Hockey season we're having this year. Go Bolts.

Well, now that it's 2005, we should probably start talking about this again I guess.

If people are opposed to Boston, or want the option of another place, I am still planning on heading to Cleveland when I am less busy and looking around for venues. My band's drummer apparently has some connections, so it's possible that we could get into somewhere decent. (Peabody's Down Under was mentioned (but please don't hold me to anything that large for now).) Non-rock activity would certainly include the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and quite possibly a trip to an Indians [baseball] game, as well as whatever other entertainment I could find. Cleveland probably has as many bars as other places we've been, for those of you jb who care.

I have nothing against Boston, but Ohio (specifically Cleveland) was mentioned and I had not reported my intentions previously.

If it's Boston, my soon-to-be brother in law lives there and it would placate the fiancee :)
