I would dearly love to see some kind of sporting event on wed night, even though i have no idea who those teams are. Just the thing to wipe out the memory of a nine hour transatlantic flight.
Okay, cool. I am happy to introduce an Englishman to our fine national pastime. I'll get you a ticket.

Venues confirmed:
Thursday, August 16th from 7:00 p.m. until Midnight @ La Casita Cantina in East Atlanta:

Saturday, August 18th from ? until ? @ ISP records in East Atlanta:

I'm investigating a venue for an afternoon show on Friday, although that might also be a good slot for our "seminar" time in the early evening-- then time to hang out Friday night getting shitfaced or something.

I definitely won't be there for Thurs either, but I can hopefully manage Fri evening. I don't have much vacation time after the France trip.

Dre & I are leaving Thursday morning...so we're a 'possibility' to hang out on Thursday night. Friday afternoon might be a good time to do the 'lessons' but if not, maybe we can grab some acoustic instruments and head down to Piedmont Park and impress the ladies. (or the gay guys...<font size="1"><i>the really fit and sexy gay guys<i>)

We need some more people!
Also, the ladies.

Erin's definitely not going, so that's one of the few SF! ladies out. Of less interest, I'm almost definitely not going, barring some incredible last minute airfare deal. I'm a bit bummed, as I'm sure it will be awesome. Have fun guys! Take lots of pictures and videos and recordings, etc.
Any word on the t-shirt for this year?

It seems like this is turning out to be just a small get together of a bunch of guys with random instruments. And if we can’t get the ladies to come, I say we use a strip bar as the venue for Friday night.
Then JB can perform his “what we need more is science” with go go dancers, on stage.
SFL Atlanta: Strip & Bar.

Cheeta? too expensive? How about the Gold Club next to the train station where all the pro football and baseball players go? too expensive?
Piedmont road it is... Pony Tails still open?
Don't even bring up The Clairmont...is it open this year?

That place got shot down years ago. Unless they've re-opened in another location and I didn't hear about it.

I'm sure, I haven't exactly been keeping up with what strip clubs have stayed open or have been closed since I moved away

At least not admittedly!

No, it doesn't. Might be smaller than last year, but it's not just a jam. Be prepared to rock.

According to the Mighty Octothorpe Myspace page, they are planning to be there. (Maybe you didn't get the memo.) Will Spud ever weigh on this very important question?
