I'm not sitting with any of you!

Well, at least not the Friday night...but I'm gonna make out with each and every one of you later that night after the show!

I'll be arriving kind of late on Friday night. Hope to be in the area by 11 or 12ish.

Awesome. I'll make sure to use that mouthwash you liked so much last time.

Will that be in 20 minute sets too? Better slot me in early, say after King Arthur. I'm not as young as I used to be - I may fall asleep.

ok i just got back from cayuga vault. i couple points to note:

plat, they do have an acoustic piano in the venue. unfortunately, it sits on a seperate riser from the rest of the stage. i'll try to talk to the sound guy this weekend about how they mic it, but it can be done.

i'm 95% sure the bar across the street has a pool table, as it's a sports bar and i did see foosball tables when i stuck my head in. it's a total sports bar hole in the wall.

stage itself i think is decent sized. should be able to accomodate drumkit, keyboards, amps, and artists. venue is pretty good sized too, i think about the perfect size actually.

i got a couple posters up in charlie hong kong and the crepe place a couple doors down too, both of which get tons of local foot traffic.

SPORTHOLE!

Sorry, I don't know why that strikes me as funny.

Poster looks way hot up there against all those black and white ones. Thanks for posting the pic.

Now we get to see how many get stolen, heh.

I shot that image with my phone. The real printing on the shirt isn't as dark, and the names, as listed in the "Names on T-Shirt" thread, are on the back.

I have already ordered them. 10 M, 20 L, 10 XL. I figured that any head count I might take here would be incomplete. For christ sake, there are people who haven't even registered for the event.

ok, i've got a bit of bad news. mostly for plat.

the piano is a no go. it's apparently not in tune and has some sort of problems with it, so it's not available for use. sorry i got your hopes up. i will bring my K1, which has a decent sounding piano patch (as well as many others). but no acoustic piano.

unless someone's planning on bringing one.

also, i'm flying back east tomorrow and won't be back to california until monday. i've been playing alot of phone tag with the vault management, but everything seems to be ok and on track venue wise. set-up starts at 6pm and volunteers for this would really be appreciated. some folks are already expected (eyes blue....) but help with shlepping gear, guitar/amp set ups, setting up chairs, sound checking, etc. would be great. also having someone work on recording setups pre-show would be great too, as well as setting up any ambient room mics for recording.

for all those already helping, you rock.

Couple of random thoughts. If we can get in earlier than six, that would be a nice thing. We don't have to set up the PA, so an hour should be enough time, but it's a little tight. Maybe I'm just anal but it's a good feeling to know that everything is ready to go ahead of time.

Can we leave gear overnight on Friday? That's not necessary either but it's way way easier.

(Plat's not the only one who's been asking for one, you know.)

Dangit, I was relying on the piano. A real one, or at least a keyboard with decent weighted keys. Blah.

Guess I'll have to think of something else other than 120MPH or something.
