I am still bitter that I will not ever be able to see them play live
I just close my eyes and pretend
anyway, today I made a playlist of Monsieur Henley that went:
Bad Cat
Courage
I'm Warning You
Don't You with the Phunt phamily
Too Far Away
Other Places I've lived
Scarab beetle under a rough desert Rock
Stone Palace
Leaf Blower
In Bed ft. Madi
and it was bloody good
and I did a cover of 'Scarab beetle...' but I'm not sure I'm ready to let it out of the jar yet

sonofsupercar was incredible while they were around. I am still bitter that I will not ever be able to see them play live.

Do you have that sos-live-expressions-06-21-2005.wmv ? If not, I'm uploading it to my webspace now and will post a link here. It's not as good as seeing them in person I suppose...but it's the next best thing.

Yeah, I already have that, and it is a good show. Thanks for offering 'though.

I really dig Jordan Seaver's stuff so far. I was playing his songs in my office yesterday and one of my co-workers said he really liked it and wanted to know what it was, so I sent him some links and maybe he'll also get turned on to the whole SongFight! thing, too.
Also, The Ned Plimpton Orchestra is off to a very promising start. I'm hoping for more good entries from him/them.

I listened to Those Meddling Kids' Kim Deal over and over today and then I dug into my archives and had a TMK listening party. I've never really said how much I love your stuff, especially The Red Door and Too Far Away. You make me totally envious.

After I heard Ben K's Cable Beach song, I checked a bit more into his stuff. You rule, man. I love the music video for 21st century omnivore. Keep it up.

I think AAWs are a pretty crazy concept, and certainly don't expect to hear much quality, never mind listenability song after song. But Hostess Mostess doesn't play by the rules and his 11 fight songs this week are tremendous and most enviable.

I wanna send a lot of thank you's out today.
I'm feeling very retrospective today so I wanna thank all the people who I've made music with since I joined songfight.
Thank you to J$, Bill, Eric, Dan, Racine, Noah, Em, Roymond, Pete, Craig, Sam, Historyman, Luke, Phunt, Charles, Andres, Jack, Sean, Andy...
Some of you I've recorded with. Some of you I've written songs for. Some of you have covered my songs. And I wanna thank you all. I feel honored to have had great musicians like you guys helping me live out my musical aspirations. Thanks everyone.

All of the Songfighters that I've met in Boston or Santa Cruz or wherever have been some of the nicest people. There's a lot of asshole behaviour and dicky things said on this board, but as soon as you're talking one on one with someone, they're usually unbelievably nice.
So thanks to all Songfighters that I've met. You're nice, normal, funny people. It's wonderful

Big group hug.

Word.
Except maybe for that bit about "normal", but I don't necessarily think being abnormal is a bad thing for a lot of people.

Well you were all males... But, no, I <3 the SFers who came to Wayne too. I just didn't want to list the different places I've met Songfighters(which is only four, I think. I probably could've just listed them all).

Is there really a place called "Wayne"? I find that quite hilarious!

Wayne, PA. It's a few towns down from where I live. Home of druggie teenagers, hip young folk, and upper class adults!

Has to be the most underrated new songfighter around..
With only 4 awesome entries, and hardly any votes.. (Some from me)
Hope he continues submitting songs on a regular basis… with that soulful voice…
Sound’s awesome; I forgive him for some of the midi keyboard stuff … that’s easily fixable, having soul and good penmanship is a lot harder to accomplish.

All the banter about Monsieur Front in the that other thread over there made me check out the rest of the Romantic Cheapskate fight... and that's a might strong fight all the way around! Nice work everybody! There's a lot of good stuff in there!
