Not to my knowledge. I thought EPP was MC Wreckshin, Sir Up & Betty Rebel (with the occasional appearances by Jaclyn Coffin & Benjamin Bear).

Sorry, I let this thread fall behind a bit. Niv gets another cookie for getting the name of Tycho's alter-ego right.

Next Question:
Why is it Monkey Affairs IV?

As I recall, UBB (which Dumbrella used for its forum) generated all its thread pages statically, which meant that the longer a thread got, the longer it took for a post to show up, and if more than one person was commenting at the same time it would get even slower. So Monkey Affairs begat Monkey Affairs II, which begat Monkey Affairs III, and then we moved to our own forum so of course we picked up where we left off (IV) and it has been that size ever since.

In the Dumbrella days we didn't have separate subforums for every stupid thing so for things which weren't specifically Song Fight-related it tended to just go into a single thread.

Almost: the monkey thread got too big for Dumbrella, so there was a monkey II thread... III was in the shortlived "new" forum when the original Dumbrella closed up shop, before we switched to our permanent songfight.net home, where IV has been ever since.

Ah, right, I forgot that anything actually happened on the new Dumbrella forum except Spud and/or JB deciding, "Screw it, we can install phpBB ourselves."

I'll take a run at making up some trivia. I think these should be multiple choice with the cookie going to whoever can get all 6 questions correct.

(Take a guess, you aren't going to find the answer online)
A- Deadstar Assembly
B- Bile
C- Celldweller
D- Powerman 5000

2. In what year did the members of Klownhole meet?
A- 1999
B- 1993
C- 1989
D- 1981

3. Who were Popular Electronics?
A- Johnny Cashpoint and Puce
B- Johnny Cashpoint and Heuristics Inc
C- Puce and Plat
D- Lonbobby and Freddielove

4- What was the collaboration of 15-16 Puzzle and Marcus Kellis called?
A- Mk Puzzle
B- Ulysses
C- Ivy Vee
D- Kelysian

5- Chuck the Bear's name is a reference to?
A- Sifl & Olly
B- Otto Messmer's Dancing Bear
C- Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas
D- R. Crumb's Zap Comix

6- Which of these isn't an Anagram name?

Wow, I only even have a vague hunch about a handful of those.

3 is definitely C [EDIT] no the one thing I was sure of I was wrong (although to be fair C is sorta-right), ha ha
4 I think is A

The rest I'd just be guessing, although I know that 6 isn't A.

I know about half of these for sure, and I guess I've got a 1.5625% chance at a whole cookie, so I'll take a shot in the dark on the rest.

1. C- Celldweller
2. C- 1989
3. A- Johnny Cashpoint and Puce
4- B- Ulysses
5- C- Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas
6- C- Code Burnt Umber

Chuck the Bear is a Sifl & Olly reference, right? The rest of them, I'm fairly certain, are right.

That's one I am 100% about. Chuck the Bear was the lead singer of the Riverbottom Nightmare Band, from Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas.

Here's a hint...for one of the questions, it's all about location, location, location (and I don't mean the SF band). Everything else is correct.

Based on Wikipedia's assertion that Bile is the only listed band from NYC.

Eric gets the cookie.

Devyl Dave of the band Bile came and hung out at Songfight NYC v2. He really enjoyed the show. His favorite was probably JB.

Klownhole started in 1989 when three of the members met in school and decided that they wanted to a black metal/ comedy act.

Popular Electronics was the collaboration of J$ & Puce. (Plat did appear on one song but the Puce & Plat collaboration is known as Mostly Harmless)

Marcus Kellis & 15-16 Puzzle collaborated as Ulysses in the "Adam & Steve" fight.

Chuck the Bear is a character in Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas

Merisan= Erin/Sam
Suave Noise Youth= Niveous Hates You
Gawking Urethras= King Arthur/Wages

I keep checking my account at http://www.cookiepaypal.com ... still nothing.

In the meantime here's a new question. In the week leading up to the "Lucky Man"/"Don't Forget to Come to My House on Wednesday"/"She's On My Mind" fights, there was a bit of showboating from the Sober Irishman. This led to a wager that he would enter a song that week in absolutely any musical genre of the wageree's choosing. (To the best of my recollection the other party was 'The Jazz', but I'm not certain about that -- maybe somebody else can confirm this bit of trivia?) Anyway, a selection was made, and Sober was flabbergasted, declining to even attempt a song. What was the musical genre that was chosen?

Side note: I personally remember thinking it was a very interesting idea, even writing (but never recording) a song for one of the three titles in the chosen genre. Perhaps I will get around to recording it some day, just for kicks.

Dang, prefight thread lost to the ravages of Dumbrella's archives. That would have been too easy, I suppose.

The Weakest Suit currently holds the record, and the steak is still ongoing. 73 and counting, from his first entry "Clause 5 Sub-Paragraph b)" all the way through "World's Greatest Dad." He hasn't missed one yet, and has also entered numerous side fights. Very prolific.

I'm going to take a break on posing new questions, as fluffy still has a couple that haven't been answered yet.
i also entered under different band names on the 2 title fights: test week hiatus (anagram), FAWMit, FACE, The Epitaphs, Observati, and Alienboy.

i have a question: does anyone want to fess up to stealing the name "test week hiatus" back in january 2008? that was back when you could get into the /music folder before the fight was "published". the song didn't make it to the fight, and no one came forward with an explanation as to why they couldn't make up their own band name.
