Yeah, I'm aware that Jews are cool with gays. (My best Jewish friend has a gay rabbi.) But surely orthodox Jews frown upon homosexuality, right? So I went with that.
That "thou shalt not lie with man as thou wouldst with woman" bit is from Leviticus, so yes, the orthodoxy does frown upon homosexuality. As such, that a was a perfectly logical place for your song to go, and in fact I would have been confused if there hadn't at least been some token mention of that fact.

Nonetheless, I've never met a homophobic Jew. In fact, a lesbian* performed my wedding.

*okay, she was bisexual... I'm taking artistic license here.

Yeah - that is the bit I remember. So it only mentions blokes. So, I take it that means God is cool with the girl-on-girl action? I mean, he's only human after all

Did anyone else read this initially as " In fact, a lesbian* performed AT my wedding." (Sit down BLT)

Finally got around to listening to these songs. Hats off to Wreckdom--that's a good one.

Honorable mention to Ross.

This may be way too late a comment to matter, but the fact is I recorded my part with a fan blowing because I was lazy and didn't want to turn it off. The quality of the microphone was actually quite good, seeing as it's a Blue product, but meh, I take the complete blame for the lack of sound quality on Jon Kloberdanz's song.

Lyn - Our "Unholy Alliance" was a huge risk in a fingerpicking, Leonard Cohen style song. I fully expected it to be hated by some, which it was, yet one judge ranked it first. I'm extremely proud of it, and your vocals were fantastic! The quality of the recording would not have vaulted it from mid-pack to the top. When I record it for what will be my second album, "Everyday is Today", you can keep the fan off.
