OH YEAH! That's an inspired wish, tviyh! Octothorpe, you guys really oughtta consider covering that song.
Oh, and
Glenn Case should cover
The Boys Are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy. Basically, it already sounds like Thin Lizzy is covering Glenn.

I've got new strings that need breaking in. If there is any song that anyone thinks I should cover- tell me. I love a good cover.

I searched (sought?), but could not find.
They're obscure as hell. I've uploaded a .wma, and if you're interested, there are ways I could get you more of their stuff. Actually, the more I think about it, the more it would make sense for you to cover "5 O'Clock," by them instead. Here's that, too.

I don't know if you're on THIS INSTANT, but you might have to wait a minute or two.

Try Blink 182's "I Miss You," and see if it holds up without the drums. I think it would, if done properly, but it would require more than a one-take guitar/vocal like you normally do.

Here's a wish I just thought of:
C. Hack covering Bobbie Gentry's Ode to Billie Joe. Sure it's a girl song, but could be switched around pretty easily, and the sound is just right for him.
Or how about Max the Cat doing Roger Miller's King of the Road.

Here's a couple I'd like to see:
The Hell Yeahs doing Robert Johnson's "32-20 Blues"
Glenn Case doing Rev. Gary Davis's "Samson and Delilah," aka "If I Had My Way" in his Jute Gyte style (or, Jute Gyte doing it and Glenn producing it)
WreckdoM doing Blind Willie Johnson's "Dark Was the Night"

ROCK!

Regarding the Ken entry, I think it is Modern English. The lyrics are here:

As far as mine? I am not familiar with that particular Lemonheads song, but I will likely seek it out and give it a crack.
ROCK!

Mr. Case, I have not heard of either those songs...
i would totally love to hear future boy or high density or whatever tackle this one! you should totally seek out a copy of it (sadly i no longer have one) -- and in the meantime, imagine the theme song from vh1's "pop up video" because it was more or less based on "pop music".
and lastly:
feldspar wrote:Man, when's the TMBG coverfight?
damn i would be ALL ABOUT THAT. and considering how frequently TMBG comparisons get thrown about in review threads, i think a lot of people here would get a big kick out of that. i would strongly lobby for this to take place sometime after the present coverfight is all wrapped up. also after the gift of music is over probably. like that should be the first big event of next year. yeah.

that would be a cool fight... somethin' i don't think i could do... cause i don't think i could pull off that sort of sound... wouldn't hurt to try though... could be a nice challenge... i'd like to try to do... she's an angel...
you should do ana ng... i'd do it... but i don't think it'd sound as cool and it is one of my fave songs haha... or birdhouse in my soul

Please. No TMBG coverfight.
I have enough to do without worrying about recording albums worth of material.

I arranged that back in college but never recorded it. Perhaps nowish would be a good time to revisit it...
