Depends if you did it well, I guess.

i may well be tempted into this - I've always wanted to do 'Surburban Bathers' as a straight ahead punk song so maybe i will ...

That would be awesome, if you could. As I said, I basically suck at the internet.

...Cool. So is everybody alright with July 15 as the due date? That's as far as I can push it.. I wont be around the next two weekends; and anything longer than that just seems like a lot. (Two months?) .. Join in at any point, just make sure you call your song in this thread; because I really, really don't want to see doubles. I'll call mine in a few days, after I see what most of you are picking. ;)

EDIT: Info in first post, yo.

your cur was identical to miss' "shreds," and that was good.

didn't you have some songfight tune with a bunch of alarm clocks in it and a rocking surf riff, or was that other aussie dude who does nutty songs?

[edit] oops, nope, it was Jippers' awesome "Step Up."

too much fun. ok, so it's super popular, but i'd like to do "peaches", b/c i really like that tune and it's fun taking a rock song and making an acoustic ballad out of it.

hehe.

Ok, I'm doing Constantinople (Residents).

I'll let you know if I attach a Presidents song to it or not, and which one.

I generally like to cover songs that are written well but poorly recorded. I don't think I can resist the temptation to do "Volcano," though.

Okay, we couldn't quite decide, so...

Primitive Screwheads (and special guest[s]?) with The Residents' "Harry the Head"
and
Rabid Garfunkel solo with The Residents' "Don't Be Cruel"
"Urban cartoon music." -- Paco Del Stinko

great idea, i'd definitely be into this, especially seeing as how i can never finish a whole song for songfight because i never get an idea and start until late in the week. not sure what song yet, but i do believe i'll have to combine one from each. or maybe a presidents song in residents style. i just found this thread, but i'm going to do some listening tonight and try to think of something. i wondered if you were a residents fan from your avatar, i mean i figured, but wasn't sure. :D

i'm really not familiar with the Residents - I'd be pleased to receive a random one emailed to me for me to have a go at

failing that - I'm seriously considering doing the Prezzies 'Boll Weevil'
