I'm in, and I fully implemented the optional challenge, in my own mind anyway. ha.

When I saw the songfight title I realized I'll never match the quality of this "Better Days" by the Jayhawks. I think it's about an affair in Toronto that didn't end up going anywhere. Really love this song.

Fart, it's due tomorrow. Well, the Brothers Baker intend to churn out the whole thing on Saturday. So we, too, will be at the mercy of the metaphysical FightMaster(III).

NIght Sky is in. Vocals could be better, but I had a lot of fun attempting to arrange a decent sax section on this one. Also joined in on an instant band, and it was an honor to contribute my 16 bars of saxophony and work with Song Fight royalty.

In with something rough, short, and super last minute - I maaaay have only started ~5 hours ago.

If the song is in (and you get an email saying they have it) before the songs go up then you're good to go. But when that happens, nobody knows.

Thanks for the info! Logistically we just determined we won't be able to hit the deadline, so we're gonna have to risk it for the biscuit and probably get it in a day late... Even if we don't get in the fight it's been a lot of fun collaborating with someone and we'll still finish it up.

I'm in. It was a slog and didn't come together until right at the end, but I got it done.

The Idiot Kings are in for my first SongFight since (eek) 2010. I also played bass on and mixed the instant band Venison Rebels' track.

I'm really excited to hear these instant band entries!

I've been so busy this week, but I'm a definite participant next time it happens.

I was able to crank out a short little diddly very very very last minute, so hopefully it will count

I had fun with it. Just a minute long but I broke out the trumpet for the first time in 10 years.

After a hiatus which involved moving, unpacking, getting settled in, setting up a new recording space while simultaneously working lots of overtime from my new home I am in with a late entry that I submitted to the Fightmaster just moments ago! Hello again everyone!

Brother Baker is in! Maybe we should do one-day-songs more often, I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.
