Not one thing I'm involved in is mentioned as "notable". No Gert, No Redcar, No Leaf, No Boon Liver, No Molsen Twins, no Bloody Hams.

I'm Stephen Colbert.

heheh. Kinda funny. I could edit it.... but I couldn't too.

JESUS CHRIST GANG.

THE LIST I MADE A YEAR AGO AND SPENT FIFTEEN MINUTES ON OF CALLING PEOPLE "NOTABLE" IS NOT ALL-ENCOMPASSING, AND IT MAKES NO JUDGMENT ON THE QUALITY OR DISQUALITY OF THOSE INCLUDED OR DISCLUDED. IT WAS A GOD-DAMN STARTING POINT FOR SOMETHING THAT NOBODY EVER BUILT ON. SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE GOD-DAMN FUCKING NOTABLE LIST.

Anyway, that beside, Redcar sucks and shouldn't have won "Moscow, Idaho" with its crappy GarageBand loop shit. Moscow, Idaho is above the 45th parallel and the song treats it like we're a bunch of banjo-toting bumpkins.

:D

holy krap kellis, carry your baggage around much?

I hereby renounce redcar's victory in Moscow, Idaho, and lay the crown of thorns squarely on Kellis's's head, (though if memory serves, your song sucked pretty bad too...*shrug*). May this contentious tune no more be a source for pain for anyone. redcar further apologizes to all the sensitive folks of said town who were, in any way, put out by redcar's FICTICIOUS characters and sampled guitar and banjo playing. In hindsight, the connection of the southern hick charactcature and Moscow, Idaho was grossly indecent and rather tasteless. Clearly, all Idohonians are much further along the bumpkin scale than that.

(just to be clear though...it's all the towns south of the 45th that are home to the banjo-totin' bumpkins?)

damn. we did get it wrong.

Speaking as someone from well below the 45th parallel, I'd like to toss out a big "fuck you" for implying that banjo-toting bumpkins can only exist in the south.

Sidenote: That redcar song is pretty great. It's like "Cotton Eye Joe" but not terrible.

What were we talking about again? I don't even know what thread this is.

For the record, redcar's "Moscow, Idaho" was both mine and Rabid's first ever Songfight vote.

He later did a great cover of it, on which I provided live handclaps - and it was even more bumpkinesque.

This is just what I needed to occupy my mind, instead of thinking about funerals and bad landlords.

I've been furiously updating. I put up info on Jim Tyrrell, Suave Noise Youth, the Idiot Kings and sonofsupercar. I'll probably knock out at least 5 more before the day is done (maybe even my own profile).

EDIT- Just added Plat/ The Cow Exchange.

Shit man, I was born in Atlanta GA, and spent way too many years in Birmingham AL, well below the 45th. I had to represent, yo. The song doesn't say that people in Moscow are my kith & kin, but that some of the people outside it are. You've been through the big empty around Moscow, man. What the song says explicitly about Moscow is that it's a focal point of some heavy weirdness.

Alby, you just think it's great because my struggling to hit notes in the second half cracks you up every time you hear it.

I'm hoping this Wiki gets huge and popular so that eventually I will top-rank for a google search of Kill Me Sarah.

Sorry about the last name thing. I saw that you had it on your tapegerm profile so I thought it was okay to have it on the wiki as well.

I added Klownhole to the wiki. Any help with that one is appreciated. Some of you have actually met Klownhole. Me, I'm just a Klownhole fanboy so I may have missed some info or gotten something incorrect.

No problem, I usually leave it off of stuff but it was a request of Tapegerm to have actual names of people... it's easy enough to figure out my full name anyway so it doesn't matter that much.
