Excellent! This is shaping up to be a monster cool collection of songs! Now if we can just talk Jack Shite into doing 'The Winner Takes It All' and The IRC All-Stars into doing 'Thank You for the Music' :)

j$

EDIT: Had a think, and some other great numbers not yet called include 'Chiquitita', 'Does Your Mother Know', 'I had a Dream', 'Name of the Game' and 'Take a Chance on Me' - as a gay man, I feel it my obligation to promote the works of Abba wherever and whenever possible!

And can I but dream of a sequel Carpenters sidefight? If so, then I call 'Solitaire' and 'Top of the World' right now! :)

In the words of Bernadette (Terrence Stamp):

"I've said it before and I'll say it again: No more Fucking ABBA!"

Only kidding! :D In our house you can't not like ABBA.

Please count me in for "I Have a Dream"

Plus - Carpenters sidefight....Yes please! I have already told Bjam that her voice is perfect for Karen Carpenter's range so maye this would be a Raw Strength and Courage multi cover.
"You know, I rather like this God fellow. Very theatrical, you know. Pestilence here, a plague there. Omnipotence ... gotta get me some of that."

I'd be in with "The Visitors", if anyone could help me find a copy of the song.

Sonic Youth's cover of "Superstar" is probably my favourite cover version of all time

Why, so you can rip off my stated intention of how I would do it, like you did for the Eagles coverfight? :p

I would love to hear it as dyed in the wool Sisters fan. I've been practising it tonight in a few different styles tonight. Lyrically it turns out to be quite an ambiguous song.

:? ?!?!? While I admit that there is no dirty or unscrupulous stunt that I wouldn't attempt at least once - I'm afraid you've lost me on that one.

BTW: on consultation with the resident Abbaphile in my house - I will relinquish "Ring Ring" and claim "Does Your Mother Know" instead.

Yeah, that's right, you play the innocent ...

Actually all will become clear next week when you hear my cover of 'Take It Easy' in a Kraftwerk stylee ...

You should do 'Ring Ring'! That was my third choice, fourth choice 'does your mother know'

HA! pwn3ed

Thanks, I needed those.

Also, I'm on the fence as to which song I wanna do. I might change my mind and do Waterloo instead... unless someone else picked it already. (checks) EDIT Oops, I missed J$'s calling Waterloo. I will definitely do KM/KY

Thanks Bolio. Visitors is the title track off the final ABBA album so its not as well known but it's perfect for gothing up.
