Tongue blocking versus lip blocking (aka pucker) is really a matter of personal taste and dexterity. But there, now you've got some more terms to google
It may be personal taste, but if you are just starting, using your tongue is a lot harder to do, and so I say, is the wrong way to go about it.

I'll agree that it's harder (for me, anyway) to do, but KMS may have an extremely agile tongue...
and it's good practice for getting used to the feel of tongue splitting (playing, say, the 1 & 4 holes with your tounge blocking the 2 & 3 holes) for that old time chicago feel.
