I Just Don't Get It
i'm not suggesting that they don't rock...
"thunderstruck", "TNT", "dirty deeds", "hells bells" ... these are all good songs. but mostly they are a band who has done the same album thirty times over the years and brian johnson's voice totally grates on my nerves sometimes. i guess what i'm trying to say is they're good at what they do, and i will listen to them more often than not when they come on the radio, i just don't really see the immense appeal they have to some people.
*bounces an LP of "licensed to ill" off jb's head*

Not a mention of Marcus Kellis yet, that's good news.

Yes, the thread is about things that people seemingly LIKE in the first place. Congrats on the one shout outs though.mkilly wrote:Man. JB I like Radiohead...I even owned KidA before I got robbed.
JohnM Seriously, if you don't like 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' you are going to have to lighten up. Teenage angst can only take you so far!
Whereas I can see some people 'not getting' Morrisey... I find it hard that fok in THIS community not at least getting some of The Cure
I'M REALLY DISAPOINTED IN YA'LL!
Also, The Rolling Stones Rock if you feel differently you are wrong. Just like my ex-girlfriend.
Among other things that people seemingling like that I just don't get:
Dragonball Z

It's interesting to note what other people think that "everybody" likes. I don't know a whole lot of (or any, really) Slipknot or DragonballZ fans. Most of the things I've heard about Dragonball haven't been complimentary.

Goofy bitching. I find it interesting to see what people don't like that I think is awesome, or what they think everybody likes that they hate.c hack wrote:Is this thread a place to earnestly expand your horizons, or is it a bitching thread? It looks like a bitching thread.
And sometimes, it's just good to get this sort of thing off your chest! It's hard to carry the burden of hating something that everybody else likes. So here's a chance at some catharsis.
