One thing you guys have probably never had is bologna and mild cheddar cheese on whole wheat cooked in a sandwich toaster.
With maybe some mustard?
It's totally awesome!

At like 9:20PM I realised that instead of having supper after work, I went straight to the beers. The gnawing hunger in my gut told me I should eat something, so I made a sandwich. It was whole wheat, and had smoked turkey breast, pastrami, spinich leaves, tomato, onion, mayo, parmesan, and a slice of sharp cheddar. It was good. Now, back to the beer.

Sober: I LOVE a good PB&J! That is my favorite sandwich in the world and if I ever open up a restaurant (Stoner's Cafe) I will definitely include that sandwich. Triple stacked of course. Also, I will offer a buttered and grilled version. Your sandwich and chip scenario sounds like a great Sunday 1st course for settling in front of the TV for a Buccaneers game.
Starfinger: I do too. I love reubens. I like them standard. (Corned Beef, grilled on Rye with Sour Kraut and Russian Dressing) I like them with coleslaw. (which isn't really called a rueben) I like them with grilled turkey or pastrami substitutes. I love the rueben.
Florida has two signature sandwhiches:
1. The Cuban. Cuban loaf (similar to a French Baguette) stuffed with roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, dill pickles (sometimes sweet), and mustard. Now, you'll easily find them with further offerings such as onions, lettuce, and tomato and sometimes salami even. This sandwich is then pressed and rolled into parchment paper. Served hot.
Reason: Its not actually Cuban. Its the sandwich in which Cuban immigrants who worked in Cigar factories in South Florida as well as Tampa threw together for lunch every day. Mainly because pork products and pickles were the cheapest thing in bulk.
2. Grouper Sandwich. Grouper fillet offered either blackened (well, spice rubbed), fried, or straight up on a soft round or bun or hoagie. Lettuce, onion, and tomato are pretty standard. Now, sometimes you'll find this is served with tarter on the side and mayonnaise on the sandwich but this can vary.
Reason: Grouper is native to the Gulf of Mexico (as well as other places) and they hang out in both Hillsborough and Old Tampa Bays. They're huge and used to be considered cheap and plentiful. While there is no shortage of them, they are more valuable now due to demand and so their price has gone up.

Peanut butter - JIF or Skippy, creamy only. No crunchy. No fucking runny old-fashioned.
Strawberry Preserves - the cheap store brand. They have actual whole berries.
Put one piece of multi-grain bread right next to the other (they have to be close, or you will spill).
Spread about a quarter inch of PB on one slice.
Spread a couple tablespoons of jam on the other - there should be a couple of whole berries in there.
Quickly fold one onto the other.
While eating, continually lick around the perimeter to catch the ooze.

Spud, your avatar pic rocks. You look like a crazy recluse.
All this sangwich talk got me in the mood for one of my breakfast wiches.
Eggo waffles toasted
bacon
easy over egg
lettuce
fresh tomato from my garden
Mayo
a smiley face of ketchup on the egg
a grind of black pepper and sprinkle of salt on the tomato
BAM! Breakfast? Lunch? Lunckfast

In honor of this thread, I brought a PB&J sandwich. Creamy PB & Raspberry J (jam instead of jelly) on Honey Wheat Bread. (and a pile of Sour Cream & Onion Lay's)
It is delicious.

I made one of my killer Schweinebraten (pig roast) sangwiches last night for dinner. This is something my Mother would make when I was growing up and I have my own little twists, but it's basically the same.
The wife made a pork roast in the crock pot, and I wasn't in the mood for roast and potatoes on a plate and everyone had already eaten when I got home. So I did as follows:
Garlic butter and grilled a sour dough hoagie roll.
Made a quick rue gravy with the pork roast juice and shredded the pork in the gravy
Fried a couple pieces of bacon
Removed the bacon and shredded up about a cup of cabbage and a few slices of onion
Threw the cabbage and onion in the hot bacon grease, seasoned and let it cook down
When the cabbage is done, I crumble the bacon in the cabbage and toss it in.
Mayo both rolls, good amount of mustard on one half, and a drizzle of my special sauce on the other half.
Pile on the pork, then pile on the cabbage. Cut it in half for easy handling.
BAM! The best shiz in town.

Yes - with more information, you look like a cross-dressing misanthrope down in his dungeon surveying his collection of human skin-suits. A skirt does give "the boys" a bit of air, doesn't it.
