Having said that: it's on hold for a few days, as I have a monster cold. I'm going to take some more nyquil and go back to bed. Buhbye.

So, I get the idea that I need to take the sidefight submissions, and host them. I have a place to do it; just wondering if there's an existing sidefight hosted somewhere that I should reference as a "best practices" kind of deal, or if I should just make it up as I go along.

Any insight on that appreciated.

Oh, yeah, and as for my Ukes-only comment previously, I was drugged. That doesn't mean I don't think it should be ukes only, but who the heck am I to make that decision? Anyone wants to put forth a "Ukes or similar" argument, go ahead -- I'm not the uke hammer.

just make it up as you go along. you don't need to host anything if you don't want. eventually we might want a forum post with a poll, but it seems like most people just ignore the sidefights after they're done nowadays.

did we ever get a title or anything? i'd like to work on it this weekend

I say you go with this original vision - if people want to play stuff besides ukes - there's a fight every week. The whole reason this thread sprang up was because of the idea to have a sidefight of people playing ukes.

I probably won't end up doing this. I like ukes, but I prefer using them as accompaniment to guitar or something. Also, I don't feel like songfighting or doing anything with music right now.
