I was going tell you it's because of your metal mask, but I like Jack's answer better. :P

Well 10am to midday Saturday is when my wife takes my daughter to swimming lessons - and my only window of opportunity to make real noise in the house. So I have to get the title as soon as I wake up and get something on tape within the following few hours or I'm completely shot.

So tell the truth. Do you get bitched at for screaming into a mic while the wife is home, or do you feel uncomfortable screaming into the mic while the wife is home?

Generally it's the second - though I did scream in the mic while the wife was at home last week and I got the first - so I guess both are right.

Ok, Ok. I take it back, I guess I'm still on your side - unless you beat me :-)
I'm looking forward to Saturday :-)

Ha, don't I wish! But I don't have a remote recording rig or a place handy for to be blowing up shit for art. 'Twas merely making fun of the percussion in my last two entries here.

Had a delicious concept for this percussive entry, but no-one I know is willing to be spanked and whimper/squeal/moan for 3+ minutes... not without a heavy, heavy price, anyway. So that idea's flown.

I hope you don't feel that Spinlock's entry is taking the piss this week.

I'd do it for free. You're a chick, right? JK.

I'd call beatboxing conventional now.

Boxbeating is still unconventional, and is fun to do.

Handclaps are soooooooooo conventional.

Don't worry, I think this rules out use of piano too.

Oh man ... this is so hard ... I've got a song, but I'm having trouble working the weird percussion into it.

I hope that they're not including piano under the category of percussion. If so, I'm hosed.

for once, i actually found it easy to think of something to write about. Now I just have to do all that niggly little stuff like write lyrics, music, and record it.
Easy.

In regards to: "Non-optional Challenge: Unconventional Percussion"
should we explain in our email how we made the percussion noise, or is the end result all you care about?

explanation is greatly appreciated.
