Getting drunk is not "excessive". I seriously doubt anyone here is an alcoholic.

Drunk posting is fun, but there sure isn't a PREPONDERANCE of it on this board, meaning that more posts than not are by drunk people. Or mayber there is, I could be wrong. I do know that if I'm drunk and in the mood to be a silly-ass on the Internet, I'm going to do it "here".

I'd say the definition of excessive is pretty subjective. Some might say any recreational use is excessive. And I thought I made it pretty clear that I was exaggerating. :)

Well, that was speculative. A preponderance can refer to a majority, but does not necessarily specifically do so. The most frequent posters are also the most likely to be under the influence of alcohol when they post. Also consider that drunk posts and sober posts aren't the only two categories. You've also got stoned posting, tripping posting, strung-out-on-heroin posting, my-mental-acuity-went-missing-otherwise posting, etc.

not to get you started, but I meant to mention this before; my Mazda used to lurch forward too. (for the last six months before the engine died)

No, I read that, but you were like "C'mon, I was joking about y'all being alcoholics. But are you suuuuuuure you don't adhere to this definition of alcoholism?"

Yeah, that's about right. I guess my tendency is to get defensive, even when it's with something I was kidding about. That's just part of my personality. I don't necessarily like that about myself, but it's kind of there until it goes away.
