I've got a number of artists that I would like to see back as regular contributors.

Johnny Cashpoint, Hostess Mostess, Luke Henley, Bjam, Deshead, Adam(TAFKAP), the various permutations of Ken, Lunkhead, and Erin, Lonbobby, The Seamus Collective, Minty Handy, even Phunt Your Friends.

Edit: Oh yeah, Jim of Seattle.

He was only regular for awhile, but I really liked Jordan Seavers.

I've been dealing with all sorts of crazy technical issues. But as soon as I get that fixed, I'm making tons of music.

Agreed - I'm a huge Gert fan. Speaking of Gert - I haven't seen any Deshead entries for a long time. Leaf hasn't been around much at all, and I never seen Boltoph or Tonetripper around here anymore (I think TT showed up for a week or two, and Boltoph shows up a bit to talk about Tuneflow). I never knew much about the HipCola. It's sad that those great musicians who inspire me so much can't come around so much ... especially Des and Leaf. I guess they must have lives or something ...

Sunburst tangerines are in season. Yum. They were 10 for $2.00 at Publix, so I picked up...10. I bought a new citrus juicer for around $10, since the old one was broken. The 10 yielded about 24 ounces of juice. Pretty good deal. And delicious. Great as is or as a spritzer.

Nein Volt Battery broke my computer, then denied it, but now having tried to fix it, and getting an idea of what was wrong with it, I've got enough evidence to suggest it was probably his fault, after all. In any case, Studio A is down until further notice. So for a while, it's back to Studio B, birthplace of Maki, and Ragfish Blues, among other things, including all of the audio reviews I've done solo. But live drums are pretty impractical in here, which is unfortunate, as I was leaning toward using them for this week's entry. But maybe I'll go in a totally different direction.

QOTD: I really want Plat and Puce back. I guess Puce broke up, so, you know, whatever Adam's next project is will do. I don't think Glenn Case has entered since I've been here, so you know, some of that would be nice. Or Bjam would be good. I'd like either of the fightmasters to participate more. They do some good stuff. There's enough current Cashpoint in places other than here that I'm not going to be whining about a lack. I'd like Vegetarian Rage to come back, in spite of (or due to?) his incredibly short tenure. I want the Al Gore Band to start up again, so I can join it.

I have to set up my "studio" in the living room every time I want to record. So, if I bothered to start recording something and then gave up, it was because I really hated how it sounded. Perhaps because I felt it wouldn't go over well here. I dunno. ...
...I like to do all my recording in one night so I'm not setting up and taking down too much.
Let me know <strike>if</strike> when you start recording, it might be the kick in the pants I need to do the same.
I'm in. I have many unfinished recordings, mostly incomplete lyric but it's a mixed bag. Been hoping for pockets of time to put them together.

History Of My Broken Heart is complete but not recorded.
King Me is close to somewhere.
VW is heavy groovin madness.
Not Exactly Normal became I'd Be Scared If I Believed for Katya's Halloween compilation.
Galaxies Floating on a Dark Matter Stream is fucking killer and close.
Brand New Car ran out of gas for some reason.

I've been considering doing something like this too, although I already have a few projects on my plate ATM (gift of music is the big one)
However, I have a WHOLE BUNCH of unfinished/unsubmitted/mostly written SF songs in my projects folder. About an albums worth.... HEY! We should all do albums of unsubmitted SF songs! Call it... "Unsubmitted"

Yeah man. When I first showed up, Bjam and StueyM were some of my favs. Bjam's "Don't You" (I think that's what it's called) was top played on my iPod for a long, long time.

I'd be down for a project like this.

I eventually recorded my very late "Look Good in Black," but it sucked, so I'd love to redo it.
I recorded full instrumental tracks to "Rabies," and "Pasty White Man," and "Texas," but never wrote any lyrics or recorded vocals.
I had good viable hooks (music and lyrics, but only on the choruses) for "Lucky Man," "Man Speaking German," and "Influential Film."
I had music and some lyrics for "Silent Pipe," "Hands Up," "Ignorance is Bliss," "Clause 5, Sub-Paragraph d)," and "That's What She Said," and never recorded any of it.

Twelve songs... that's a full album of orphans. Some of them, however, may have changed titles in the process. I like it.

Also, I'm a little drunk.

Excellent. Lemme scratch out a list and see how many I got:

I Think It's Killing Me: all written
Death Plunge: needs a second verse
So Long Atticus: all written
Tomorrow's Almost Over: short, but I think it's done. I gotta remember the lyrics.
Merry Christmas: all written
Don't Forget to Come to My House on Wednesday: needs a bridge and a final verse, but it's good
Five Minutes: all written
Short Life: all written, but then I lost some of the lyrics
We Have the Technology: I wrote a crapload of lyrics, but then never really picked which ones should be in the song. Also needs a bridge.
Late to A Funeral: I guess this is just a chorus, now that I think about it.

This could be a thing.

You know what. This is a bullshit excuse. Looking at this past year, I did vocals for Montserratian Secret Police and my kids and I did an EP as our noise band The Yellow Crayon is Missing. So I really should've made more music this year. I've used a litany of excuses this year (The house is never quiet enough, I want a fuller sound to my music, I'm worried about waking the kids, I never have enough time...). In all actuality, I really just should've done more and I don't have a good excuse why not. I don't understand lately what's inside of me that's been holding me back from doing music.

PS- Eventually, TVIYH will release the music from the Silent E sessions from earlier this year.

Carol cleveland Sings is awesome! And Dylan Nau... I always dug his stuff... swampy.. floydish... groovy player. fuck he was good. I was convinced Des was him for a while...but no..there's two kick ass dudes out there.

Jacky two-two. Yer repeating yourself or something.

Oh yeah, Neil Thrun. Seriously. where is he now? Go listen to his "I want to get better".

But be warned. It's ... a bit out there.

Speaking of getting drunk last night. FIREBAAALLLL!!! Ouch. My head hurts.
