Congrats, Roymond. At the time of this writing, you're #3.

And Frankie, wouldn't your highest-rated song without enough votes to be in "Top Songs" be your Heart of a Lion?

:)

I don't have anything highly-rated enough to even be considered, so I'll just say, go and rate my recent posting of my Rhymes with Lucia. Many of you have already heard it anyway; it was my entry to that Songfight in '06.

Merisan has only two songs up, but our "controversial" cover of the much beloved classic "Need Stilts" by Glenn and Rachael doesn't have 15 votes yet:

http://www.somesongs.com/song_info.php?select=4087

And Otalgia has one of its two songs on there and that doesn't have 15 votes yet either:

http://www.somesongs.com/song_info.php?select=4672

frankie, you've already rated these bad, so this for the rest of you, who I hope rate them good to negate and then counteract frankie's ratings. ;)

Also, thanks to Tuuur who has rated 4 out of 5 of the Lunkhead songs on there "good" and called most of them underrated, sentiments with which I happen to agree.

My version of "White Light White Heat" has only 9 votes.

I also noticed I have several songs that are "hidden" because they have been deleted by the place where they were hosted. I am going to rehost and repost them.

My songs struggle to get 5 votes. The most recent one I posted is ...

(note - it was written for a 155 hour frenzy, not a 55 minute frenzy)

Even though Tuuur doesn't like it, I am more than happy to pimp our <a href="http://www.somesongs.com/song_info.php? ... ">greatest hit</a> in this here thread. Sorry, we don't have any songs with less than 15 votes. I will dig something up and post it. Long live somesongs.

It's from "If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do?" -- an ultra low-budget Cold War era propaganda film about a Communist invasion of the U.S.

The film is the source of the soundbite, "Christianity is stupid!" used in the Negativland song.

I think I look like the guy laughing in this picture.

MY highest-rated <15 votes is The Elements Of Style, which is a couple of years old now. I need to write more stuff. Turns out somesongs was quite the motivator for me.

I have a 470 (and a MT-520) that I have been thinking about making WAV files of all it's drum sounds so that I can have it's particular sound anytime without needing to haul it out of storage. If I actually get around to doing that, I'll shoot you a copy.

It is! Awesome. I love that sample. Is there somewhere to view that online? It doesn't seem to be on archive.org.

Then you must look like Brian Posehn, because I've always thought that was the guy in your avatars, lol.

OK, in response to Frankie's actual tip of the day, I have posted this:

SPUD

I should have saved Skyline for a different tip.
And Jeff, the drums on Skyline are actually a combination of the Casio and me playing live on the Yamaha DD-55.

Well, maybe I only look a little bit like that guy. This is the most recent photo of myself I have handy in digital form:

But this thread ain't about what I look like.

It's about SOME SONGS.

This appears to be the entire movie:

Now we just need a way to use this information for the benefit of somesongs.

somesongs has been good to me in the past, so I will try and do my part.

Have stuck up My Love Is Forever, which I did for Purple Reign, but didn't get it finished in time to enter it.
