QOTD 2: Being that it's Triple J, it will probably be some crappy boomerang band that I've never heard of that steals American music and acts like they thought of it. Damn pom prisoners! I would almost bet you that the "Lyricburglar" is a bloody Aussie.

Top Ten of the Hottest 100 is here:

1 Muse - Knights of Cydonia
2 Silverchair - Straight Lines
3 Kings Of Leon - On Call
4 John Butler Trio - Better Than
5 Faker - This Heart Attack
6 Foo Fighters - The Pretender
7 Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (live)
8 Cold War Kids - Hang Me Up To Dry
9 Soko - I'll Kill Her
10 Panics, The - Don't Fight It

Muse was a great choice at #1. Well deserved.

4 Aust. bands in there - Faker and The Panics are very dull in my opinion. John Butler occasionally has his moments - but a lot of his stuff has that 'dull, boring hippie' feel to it. I quite like that Siverchair song - though far from #2 material. Australian music is in a real slump at the moment I think. We definitely need a renaissance. The only Aust. band I rate at the moment is Operator Please, a group of young school kids from the Gold Coast.

I have no idea why a 10-year-old Daft Punk song made it into #7?

If I remember correctly Daft Punk came out with a live album very recently so that's why the live version is there.

What! Who in the heck made this list, Mike fucking Patton? :P

I'm also happy to see Silverchair's, Straight Lines, on that list.

By the way, from the first time I heard Muse's, Knights of Cydonia, I couldn't help but think I've heard that sound before.
