That's looking on the bright side!obscurity wrote:I wrote a song called Sleepwalking years ago, so I'm glad that I'm not in this 'cos I'd find it incredibly distracting trying to write a second song for the same title.
Fixed, and added the day of the week, for those of you that had trouble figuring that part out yourselves last time.obscurity wrote:Anyone who wants to borrow my time machine, no-need to form a queue. It'll be there ready when you turn up.Niveous wrote:

Oops. That's what happens when you cut and paste from Nur Ein 2.obscurity wrote:Anyone who wants to borrow my time machine, no-need to form a queue. It'll be there ready when you turn up.Niveous wrote:

You're right, that's more like a sforzando.Caravan Ray wrote: I'll record a new one inspired by the title. With a crescendo)
HaHa!! good one, Ross.Ross wrote:You're right, that's more like a sforzando.Caravan Ray wrote: I'll record a new one inspired by the title. With a crescendo)
I had to google that - because I assumed that was some Californaian way of calling me a poof or something...but it turns out that "sforzando" is "The Mongrel Bastard Pirate Orchestra SFORZANDO" from Melbourne!Ross wrote:You're right, that's more like a sforzando.Caravan Ray wrote: I'll record a new one inspired by the title. Now that's not something I'm accused of very often!Ross wrote:That's looking on the bright side!
Are people allowed to use ghostwriters? I ask, because I've got the one I *would* have submitted for round one written and can send the scratch track if you want it (and if it's allowed.) Let me know.Man, I'm having trouble with this one. Can't write any decent lyrics, can't even come up with a decent idea. AND my crescendo skills are pathetic.
I refuse to bomb out, though.
No, take it seriously. That is a great optional challenge! The judges all have to write the lyrics and randomly assign them to the competitors!HeuristicsInc wrote:... unless ghostwriting is the non-optional challenge

I'm not weighing in pro or con here officially, just responding on an unofficial personal level. The quality of the drums in your songs is not necessarily going to have any impact on your performance in this contest. I'm not a drummer either and we got by OK on fake drums. I don't think Frankie had "real" drums either until the final round. Don't worry about your drums, just find a way to work around the fact that you're not a drummer (write acoustic songs, use samples/loops, use live hand percussion, write a song that fits with noticeably fake/retro/drum machine-y drums, etc. etc.). I know it sounds cliche and lame, but it's all I got.Märk wrote:I forget, are we allowed to use 'guest' musicians? I am not a drummer, and I would really rather not use fake drums on my song(s).
