I'm gonna be in.
Mood I'm shooting for: DiscoZappa with dorian-mode soloing over it.
Let's see how far from attaining it I end up being.

Well, I've been singing mine all day so I can get the lyrics down for recording... does that count?LSK wrote:I can't get mine out of my head. I think this means that it's good.

Re: What a Beautiful Pre-Fight Thread
Well, my first song fight submission is in the mail. Take it easy on me
BTW, as a heads up to listeners and reviewers, my music is decidedly (and purposely) lo-fi country-folk. So if you tell me to compress this and reverb that, or complain about it being too country, I will point and laugh.
Thanks for having me,
Clif

Re: What a Beautiful Pre-Fight Thread
It's offical, I'm in.
This is my 1st entry to SF with real guitar. Although I've figured out while recording this that my pocket amp sucks. Also since I just started learning, this is a completely fretless song lol.
Honestly, I just wanted to see how it would turn out.

From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style.

Bonjour Fightmasters,
Mon Frere Pierre and I (Deaux Freres) prepared a song for this week, but as he was mixing - he lost his internet connection. We will submit as soon as possible - please consider including us - we would have been on time - we swear!

I'm in, but am I proud? Not at all. Get prepared to hear a shitty love note to America as performed by Weezer, but without any drums.

8:50am PST on the due date, and true to form I couldn't find time to record anything all week, or even finish the lyrics. I have about an hour. Let's see what happens.

Re: What a Beautiful Pre-Fight Thread
Amazing. I got as far as starting to set the tempo in Garageband, and my wife called; my son just threw up in the car, and I've got to go bring a change of clothes and a towel for him and bring him home. I'll post my lyrics later, but I'm out.

Deux Freres is in with an incredibly sappy and earnest song.
