I've seen the bounce thing, I've just never used it.

Everything I mix is done in realtime.

Sure I automate faders and pans and all the movement in the effects etc etc, but at the end of the day my final 'rendering' of the song is done at realtime.
This is due to the hardware factor, you just cant quickly bounce some things. hehe.


Tho I like this, it gives me a final listen, at the point of creating a stereo mix. There are many times when during this final 'export' Ive noticed a fault or problem that needs fixing. Cept yeh it does take longer to do, but hey whats 4 mins instead of 2.

Oh yeh.. I use cubase, mostly, tho I like to record audio to virtual ADAT machines (they really sound better*)

Yeah, I know, most people don't read instructions and just want to find all the features of the software. My experience with Reaper is that it's so packed with things hidden just under the surface that you need to not only read the user's guide, but also read its forums for about a month before you know what it can do.

Awesome, thanks Jeff! I don't typically read a manual through (funny, because part of my job is writing help documentation), but if I know right where to find something I'll definitely read up on it.
