Holy crap. This is too cool. Project #3,002,456 to add to the list. Awesome. Way awesome.
Found that dragging the <<name>>.m3u file into the playlist left bar in iTunes works hunky-dory groovin' for me, with both Jack's & Johnny's shows. Go Macintosh.
j$, you really need to be hosting spooky-type radio dramatizations a la Rod Serling... wicked wicked voice, man. I'm sleeping with the lights on tonight.
Wow. Brilliant.
Edit: Jack, I just read the .m3u files that you & j$ posted. Is it really that easy?

yeah. it's just a list in wordpad.

how does this wordpad thing work?

I don't know from wordpad, but if you want to see what an .m3u file is all about, change the extension so it's a .txt file and see what it's all about.

yeah, wordpad, notepad, simpletext. it's just a text file list of links. the voiceover stuff is seperate mp3s stuck in the right spot on the list.
like erik said, you just make a text file and change the .txt extension to .m3u

Wow! - I just worked out that if I do that to the "Stream All" button on the main songfight page - then the songs will stream and I don't have to download them all to listen to them! Why didn't anyone tell me that before?!
Now I'm really pissed off that I've broken the headphone jack on my work computer - because I could be listening while I'm working (or not working, as the case may be), but I can't.
Anyone know what to do about a buggered headphone socket on a laptop?

This is a brilliant idea. Here's my first contribution.
http://www.abcdarian.com/music/sf_radio/loki_1.m3u
I want the flexibility to do actual voice overs to cover some of the dead space, but I'm not sure if the FM's want to host multiple versions of the same song so I'm willing to host my radio shows from here unless they want to host it... Let me know.
I'd never heard this c. hack track before but it's absolutely gorgeous.

It's word. In a pad.
Actually, like Jack said, I think, if you want to make a stream, use notepad, simply write the full address of the mp3 location (including http:/) of each song on a different line. No other information. Then click
save, make sure you add the .m3u extension, so it reads
yourshow.m3u. Then upload that file to the interynet and you're done.
It works a treat. I for one would love to hear a HNI:D show. And just some of the other people who I would like to encourage are Starfinger (because he would make such a funky DJ), Caravan Ray (because he exhibits good musical taste most of the time) and Historyman 68 (for the youth angle

)

Johnny Cashpoint:

Loved your show. And thanks for including a project I was involved with.
You can whisper in my ear anytime.

Hahaha! thanks Hoblit. Actually I was torn between that one and Spring of Teal, but I have enough top favourites for another two shows at least, so you may not have heard the last of 'DJ Goodtime Johnny' ....
