No actually. While my dad does listen to some OLD country, they were listening to 70's folk (and rock) when I was growing up. For that matter, my dad listened to Bing Crosby records (and tapes) at Christmas while my mom played classical music renditions of Christmas music. (Stuff THEY identified from their folks' Christmases)

While I can deal with Bing Crosby and classical music, I prefer the warmth and simplicity of country music as a better representation of what Christmas is to ME. (That's obviously an opinion that I don't EXPECT anyone to agree with even if they do.) (except that lame SANTA version of Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train, in fact that's a lame song to begin with) Even Jewl's Silent Night is almost a country song if not just because it's mostly acoustic.

I hate the lyric 'figgy pudding' too.

Although, I do like the common misinterpretation "friggin' pudding."

The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping" is probably my top holiday tune ever. I also enjoy the Christmas album Woody Phillips did - he's the guy that makes music primarily with woodworking tools.
