Where was Andy Warhol during all this? Did your dad talk of him? That's who I think of when I think of Pittsburgh. That and Alcoa and that big job we didn't get. Oh good, I can write about not getting a job at Alcoa. True story. But then it isn't an elegy since that's really a happy thought. But as songwriter, we're basically god, so I can make it sad and regretful. Out of the ashes of the steel industry rose the aluminum wheel industry. Nope. Not doing it.

Take this opportunity to download Reaper, then. Best thing out there, IMO.

Here's my wish. That Elaine DiMasi and Jan Krueger have a vocal harmony fight within the same song, via collaboration. That is all. For now.

Well, I have one of those ideas that is really cool but no-one except me's gonna want to hear it. I am still going to try and get it done (as if I made new year's resolutions it would be to get out of the habit of leaving songs 3/4s finished) - I just wanted to warn you all in advance that you won't like it

I have laid down some tracks that will all need to be redone -including the drum loops- but it certainly has the potential of being a reasonable song facsimile by the deadline. I'm doing this one on my brand new copy of Logic Express 8 (woohoo!). It's another learning curve, but I hope when I get past it all it starts to clear up some of my recurring muddiness issues.
And I still need a new bass, that's what I'm learning.

Hey Chris,
If you're still thinking about it. You might be able to get the Powerhouse music from here

Ah Ha! I might take this opportunity to D/L Reaper finally myself... All I need to do is hope my computer doesn't crash 20 times first... then I'll avoid Karaoke night and work on a song instead... Tho I might be working on my Diggin' Out track first... (I never finished it!) Don't count me in this one yet... but I do like the title...
P.S. I will probably like the Jay-Munny Moosic!

Thanks! Via your link I finally found Ye Olde Lyric Archive and posted my last three ditties. Every day there's something new to explore...
(When I entered my first fight, I didn't even know there were Fight Discussions and Reviews. Still learning...)

Well, this title is just too pretty, so I'm in - but not with a anti-establishment punk song. In fact, due to recent praise, I'm exercising my pipes a bit more on this ditty.
... oh, and double checking for any clipping and over-the-top warbles. See, I'm still learning...
Seriously, I'm very proud of this song.

Yeah, I made that resolution about half way through last year. Which... has led to some recent crap on my part. But -finished- crap.

I'm officially in. A simple little G&G song about America's dependance on other nation's products and outsourcing and other mature responsible things like that.
Interestingly enough, it's also one of the longest songs I've ever done at 3:20
Also, I name dropped a certain SF'er in this. Bet you can't guess who it is. lol

This past week was way too busy to finish something for this fight, what with a new job and avoiding near eviction. What I did get started, though, is a pretty nice new beat, which I might finish as Elegy for Industry then post it on SomeSongs or something.

In.
But I have nothing nearly as appropriate as having a new job and nearly getting evicted.

I'm in with my first ever collaboration. Lots of fun, I hope to do that again.

I'm in twice! One is another of my rush productions, the other is, coincidentally, a guest role in another song, so it's my first ever collaboration. Lots of fun, I hope to do that again.
