I live about a mile and a half from the stadium where the Superbowl was played. The helicopters are still flying around and traffic has sucked all week. I had to wait in between helicopter flights while recording my FAWM vocals.

The party was mostly obnoxious although my cookies were a big hit. Not enough of a hit for them to all get eaten though (probably because lots of other people had the same idea and brought cookies too, so there was plenty of cookies and beer but not much else). I'm the only one who made my cookies from scratch though!

Fluf, I thought about you for a brief moment during the game. Remembering that you said your BBQ was all nerds that didn't really care for football. When the commercial came on about the new Star Trek movie coming soon, I pictured your group getting all excited. I'm sure that was topped only by the commercial for the new Transformer movie coming soon.

It turned out most of the people there did care about the game after all. I was probably outside when the Star Trek trailer ran since I didn't remember seeing it or hearing any reaction to it. Although most of the nerds I know (myself included) actually aren't that into the new Trek for various reasons.

I thought that trailer looked pretty good.
...but I guess that solidifies your point, lol. But Simon Pegg as Scotty is great!

The first thing I thought also when I read that, lol. Great album title for a nerd core band that plays in a Zappaesque style.

It seemed vaguely Zappa-esque when I wrote it too, but it took me a while to figure out why.

Ooh, I thought of a name for a Zappa tribute band the other day - Impostrophe.

I'd suggest Monster Magnet but I think that's already taken.

"Sheik-en, Not Stirred"

Oh geez, Zappa covers of James Bond themes. Poor Monty Norman :D
