At one point I knew every lyric on the record.

I'll pass the message on, however if you are in fact endowed as your invitation implies - then you're probably not his type.

BTW: Nice avatar Tonetripper! Is that a Julia Set?

Desperado - The Eagles. In fact one SFer has heard my karaoke rendition when I got more into it than I intended :)

I've heard that Cashpoint's version of 'Top of the World' brings new meaning to the Carpenters classic. And I never knew that 'Summer Nights' was a creepy goth song before the Balham/Cashpoint duet ...

Anyhoo.... :)

Actually, I'd put all of karaoke down as a guilty pleasure. How can something so wrong feel so right? Hazard by Richard Marks, Candle in the Wind 97 by Elton John, Wanted Dead or Alive by The Jovi - the list is long and undignified.

Whatever...

I still have a Napster'd copy of Beat It that rocks, if only for the chain-saw start of the eddie solo

I once went to a karaoke in Mount Isa that had Radiohead's Paranoid Android. It was the most sublime karaoke experience of my life - although my wife told me I am never, ever to attempt to sing that song in public again.

And I once received standing ovations at a karaoke in Townesville that had The Pixies' Monkey Gone To Heaven - obviously, my Black Francis immitation is far better than my Thom Yorke immitation.

I did Phantom of the Opera at a karaoke. I think this makes me a sad individual. A very geeky sad individual.

But I also did Rocky Horror so it all balances out :D

As opposed to yet another woman doing I Will Survive at karaoke? Variety is the spice of life IMO (My favorite song to do Karoake on is Billy Vera's 'At This Moment.' I can fake that one very well.)

I usually do The Devil Went Down To Georgia.

Side note: I lost a dollar on Charlie Daniels while watching the pregame show for the Superbowl. I bet a friend of mine he'd say 'son of a bitch' at the end of the song, but he didn't, the big wuss.

Dust In The Wind here. Yep...beltin' that puppy out for all it's worth. The more beer I've imbibed, the louder it is. I really felt it when I sang it...

Oh, and of course, that one Georgia Satellites tune, you know "Change in my pocket...", don't remember the title..OH~ Keep Your Hands To Yourself. Very much a crowd favourite...

There is nothing like drunken karaoke. So much fun. :)

Perhaps at this year's SF Live we'll have the chance to do a drunken karaoke crawl through Beantown. That would be an event I'd long remember.

Which track isn't a killer?

I thinks "Dragon Attack" is still highly crankable in 2005.

(psst: "Night at the Opera" is just as solid.)
