I will keep my stupid jokes to myself, sorry.
A minute after the jury decided the challenge, Melvin asked if he could be the guest rapper. I told him no.

If we were still in you would've been our first choice. Seriously, when I think of good rap, the first thing that comes to mind is FBF's Adaptation

Cleared up via PM.
Suffice to say, my implication was
not that any judge was slated to guest rap on anyone's track.

Gangsta rap battle? I'm feeling it, but I might go for the p.o.d. approach and do some nu-metal emotional rap. But gangsta dre-style would be pretty fun too.

If you're gonna go emo, go Anticon. It's the only way.

By the way - I'm gonna suggest that current ein contestants, immune or not, also ought not rap on any one's entry, it seems to me that in the past collaborations between existing Ein contestants has been discouraged - I think that tradition should be continued. I couldn't tell if the interplay between Frankie and Jon was for real or kidding around.
If I am alone in this, then I guess I am, but I thought I would at least put my thought out there.

Trust me Ross, I'm pretty sure no-one wants me rapping on their song. But I must say I'm a little concerned about the dissection of every challenge. (Not from you necessarily, just in general.) If the challenge says "Guest appearance. Guest must rap in your song.", why must there be a bevy of questions about whether or not the guest can also sing, whether or not I can sing, whether there can be any singing of any kind--I mean, just interpret the challenge as loosely as the law will allow. These challenges are hard enough without people placing additional restrictions on themselves and others.
I can't whistle. That's just the way it is. JB can whistle and he's the best whistler I know. Even if he was in this competition, he would have been my first call. That would have been wrong? Why? Tiny Robots is a freaking (edited for my students' sake!) supergroup. I can't play guitar like Sam, drums like Ken, sing like Erin or do whatever it is the other people in the band do. So I can't call Ken and ask him to lay down a backbeat for me?
I think there are obvious problems with a judge playing or singing on a competitor's song, but I don't think it's right to prohibit limited interaction between the contestants. So Ross, if you're dying to add a flute solo or a sax solo to one of your tracks, you can call me and I'll be there. But again, you probably don't want me as your guest rapper.

written, but I have no idea who will guest rap. My family hates this stuff, but maybe I can convince them.
ps - I'm also a little time-crunched on this one, since I have a colonoscopy on friday and will be a mess for quite a while. hopefully I can get some tracks done in time.

I think the precedent was set two years ago by Niveous, "no cross pollination" between contestants. Former contestants and other Song Fighters are fine. For the Guest vocals 2 years ago my 1st instinct was to hit up Erin, she was my competition in Merisan at the time. I'm glad that was illegal, because I contacted Furry Pedro, who brought along Melvin and the Worldly Self Assurance was born. That same year 2 years ago I think it sucked for both Merisan and TGFTF not to be able to hit up Ken for drums.
We'll have to see what the other judges say, but I for one agree with Ross.
Frankie, I don't think there's anything wrong with questions and clarifications.
Will we hear an exhibition track from Frankie? Don't be like those lazy Tiny Robots

Hrm, speaking of precedents, I'm pretty sure frankie set the precedent two years ago of not entering when immune, and I'm pretty sure it was for reasons similar to ours (real life stuff). It's funny because that was the other "guest vocalist" round. While the rest of us just got some friends or family or other random people to participate, Puce/Adam wisely brought in heavy hitter Brad Sucks and wiped the floor with the rest of us.

I suppose it's OK for you to have real life stuff Lunk.
(56 to 54 is hardly a floor wiping, I think you guys were robbed)

I'm pretty sure I was in Spain during my previous immunity, so it was well-timed and I took full advantage of it. I had no idea it was expected I would write a song anyway since I didn't follow the first Nur Ein (or even know it existed for that matter).
I probably won't do a song this time because of the challenge. Or maybe I'll write one and ignore the challenge. Or maybe I'll write one and incorporate the challenge, but these three possibilities are in order of likelihood. BECAUSE I AM IMMUNE.

There has been a lot of talk on this thread Probably too much talk.
I just want to say - I agree 100% with Frankie Big Face. The Tiny Robots are a pack of cheats.
I also agree 100% with Lunkhead. Frankie Big Face is a big girl's blouse.
And I agree 100% with Ross Durand. But you know Ross, if you would like me to rap for you - I won't let you down.
But the good news is - the Right Honorable Member for Griffith, Kevin Rudd Prime Minister of Australia has agreed to rap for me. We have been looking for a project to work together on for quite some time. John Key did call - but of course I said (as you are all saying) "who the fuck is John Key"?

If anyone needs rap with German accent by a non-rapper, let me know.

1- Big Girl's Blouse....always one of my favorite insults.
2- I actually got both the Rudd and Key references and I don't know why.

I thought the same thing but didn't want to pry. Having had one myself, I can tell you it is a breeze. You won't feel a thing and you will be super-mellow when it's all over.

Just some minor health/eating issues - nothing serious, but I guess if having this done will help them know what's wrong with me, I'm cool with it. It just seems like kind of a gross way to do it. I already had an endoscapy a few weeks ago, so I'm cool with going under and stuff - I just hate the idea of drinking 4 liters of colyte.
frankie big face wrote:Having had one myself, I can tell you it is a breeze. You won't feel a thing and you will be super-mellow when it's all over.
Thanks, it's good to know it's not an excruciating experience. After my endoscapy I felt awesome and ate a few muffins, which tasted a lot better than they should have, I think. hooray for drugs!
Lunkhead wrote:Re: colonoscopy. Reist, that's a bummer, I hope you're alright.

Colonoscopy=bummer.
Thanks for the concern guys. It'll all be fine, I think - there's nothing crazy wrong with me in the first place anyways, so I have no serious worries.
On a side note, I'm nearly finished my tune for this round. I'll just ask my little sister to do some rap for it, I guess.
