Well, this is interesting....a mash-up band.

It's like two cover bands slammed together.

My Mash-up listening has increased ten fold over the last month. Here are the good ones that I've found recently:

Ludacriss' Stand Up vs. The White Stripes' My Doorbell
Gwen Stefani's What You Waiting For vs. Weezer's Hashpipe
Kittie's Run like Hell vs. Prodigy's Baby's Got a Temper
Static X's Control vs. Gorrillaz' Feel Good Inc.
Prince's When Doves Cry vs. Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up
Handel vs. Snoop Dogg

I'll post some links later.

heh, i thought you were done remixing brad, jack!
i think this one's more seamless than the last one, but brad's vox should be louder.

The most beautiful mash-up I've ever heard:

Go Home Productions' "Uptight Maggie" (Rod Stewart vs. Stevie Wonder)

so yeah, i finally finally listened to this today, and man oh man was i disappointed. after all that hype. this has got to be the LAZIEST mashup ever! more like "a brief snippet of a song from the white album, poorly looped and stuck underneath some jay-z song".

the only ones i could even bother listening to (and i'll be keeping these two) were the one with him talking about his mom, where they used music from "mother nature's son", just because it's kinda cute and it works together, and then "99 problems" with additional "helter skelter" riffage, because i always liked "99" anyway, and more rockage never hurt anybody. other than these, ick yuck blah! especially the one called "interlude", because "revolution #9" has so much great source material, and thus hip-hoppy potential, and it was totally wasted. boooo on the grey album.

Just another reminder of how much I hate Rod Stewart. Like, really hate him and his voice. Like everything I've ever heard. Without exception. Total. Complete. Even just his picture. This image in my mind. Wow. So devastatingly distructive he is to my being.

The mash-up is well done, mind you :) just bad source material.

Yeah, I agree, and also I don't like the guy's rapping in the slightest.

They guy put it together in one night, I think it's pretty fucking impressive. More interesting to me, however, is the Slack album. Black Album put over Slanted and Enchanted.

In this corner, wearing the candy-cane trunks, weighing in at 200 pounds between them, The White Stripes, with their hit "Seven Nation Army!"

And in this corner, wearing the black power suit, weighing in at... aw, who cares, it was the 80s, The Eurhythmics, with their hit "Sweet Dreams!"

The two songs mash up almost perfectly with no mixing at all, but this is a surprisingly complex and detailed mashup nonetheless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT5eJwgAtvY

Yay for resurrecting old threads! Anyone else found any fun mashups lately?

DJ Nick Nice makes some tasty mash-ups. Here's a link to one that starts with "Dirty Deeds" mashed with "We Will Rock You."
