Looks good. The thing that confuses me about some of these interfaces is it looks like all of those microphone input jacks in the back are 1/4" ones. Am I just looking at it wrong?

Looks like 4 XLR microphone inputs on the front panel to me, with pre-amps and phantom power.

Oh wait a sec, I didn't follow that link last time. I guess the one I looked at was a different model. Still though, there are some I've found that look like the don't have any XLR inputs on 'em.

Oh wait I figured it out haha, they're both microphone inputs as well as 1/4", right?
Anyways, if I go about buying an interface, how confident should I be that it'll solve my problem? I don't want to go and get one and then find out I have the same issue.

Before you buy an interface, and I very much suggest you do, have you optimized your computer for recording?
Do a google search for "optimizing Vista for audio" and read up on all the things you can do to make your computer more stable for audio. I've done a ton of this kind of thing on my Dell laptop and I still have to turn off the wireless when I record or I get pops in my tracks.

Awesome! Thanks, ken! I'll get on that.
