The Ice Weasels are throwing one in for this fight! I had an idea to base the lyrics (loosely) on one of the plots in the novel Quicksilver, but I wasn't sure I was going to have time to do it. I made time. Screw having friends! They're overrated. :)

That's the Quicksilver I mean, yeah. If you didn't like the first book, you probably won't like the trilogy, though...

I'm in.

This is the 1st in a row for me. But by the time I put the mic down it will be the longest streak in SF history. That's my goal. ^_^

edit: btw, sorry Steve. No re-write.

Who currently holds the longest-streak record? (Yeah, that probably belongs in the trivia page, but I don't know the answer.)

Anyway. Just sent mine in. Spent a lot of time working on it this fight. Possibly more time than I've ever spent on a single Songfight entry. Hope it pays off.

I think Melvin has the longest consecutive fight streak. But I'm not positive on that one.

Done. Thanks Noah.

No - I haven't actually. I think I heard a line or two of it somewhere once - so i knew it existed - but I have never actually heard it.

I know Brel's very well though, because I did advanced French in highschool and in my final year studied French popular music. "Amsterdam" was one of the chansons we dissected.
