Dr. Worm did not appear, but he was present. Can you figure out how?
He was the guy who entered the Shaq song?

Oh, wait, looks like Eric got it before I posted that.

Next question:
Who currently holds the record for most Songfight entries without a win?

Aw, sad to say, it's Paco del Stinko. Bummer, man, I like your tunes.

I kind of cheated on that one:

Yes, the filter is miraculous. I can't claim credit for that question; someone asked it on the IRC room (I wanna say it was Steve?), and that person found the answer the same way you did, Lunk. So. A cookie for you.

And yes, the answer is surprising. I too admire Paco's songs, and find it difficult to believe he hasn't won one yet. Though if I may editorialize, his odds look good for this week. Which leads me to...

Follow-up:
If Paco del Stinko wins the "World's Greatest Dad" fight, who will then hold the record for most entries without a win?
Lunkhead, since you figured out how to research the answer (and built the tool for doing so), let someone else have a shot, eh?

That's a tough one. If you use Lunkhead's system, its Wages. he's got 40 entries and no wins. But that doesn't factor in any collaborations. If you factor collaborations into the equation, then I guess I'm the answer. I've done 50 entries (mostly songwriting for other bands) and haven't scored the win.

Niveous gets another cookie, even though he miscounted (41 fights without a win for Wages, not 40). I don't even know how to research that question while also taking collaborative efforts into account.

Next Question:
Name the Songfighters depicted on the cover of Songfight's "Let It Be," as drawn by Drew Tetz.

Well done! A cookie for Albatross!

Next question:
Octothorpe's now-infamous first Songfight appearance ("Been to China") may have been inspired by that fight's optional challenge. What was it?

ahem....I have 57 songs without a win, just as Caravan Ray. Factoring collaborations and alternate names I would be approaching 100 or so.

But I don't think I am the correct answer either. that title is still known as the "King Arthur Award".

edit
- just checked....Paco 77 (wtf!?!? How!?!?!) KA 71 entries

It is now the "Paco del Stinko Award" a.k.a the Stinkie.

(or perhaps the Caravan Ray Award (including collaborations and alternate names)???)

Yep. And that's not counting collabs and alternate names! Charles can keep his statue, in the form of a king, and I'll hold aloft the polished turd "Stinkie" trophy for all to see.

OK. Back to the interesting thread. Informative and neato fun.

Ooh, crap. "Prayer for Pancakes" screwed up my research methods! Sure enough, It's Caravan Ray with the answer: King Arthur, with 71 entries and no wins (not counting "Prayer for Pancakes"). That's just tragic. I know I've voted for him quite a few times.

Niveous, please hand one of your cookies to Ray.

Well, "Prayer for Pancakes" still shows up when I go to my Music page, and it still says I have one win...

By the way, although I don't think it was posted in the "Song Title Ideas" thread, I did at one point mention that the first song I had ever written was called "The Martians Are Going to Eat Us" and within a week or two, it showed up as the Title... but it was not offered up as a suggestion, so it's probably not the answer to that question...

A cookie for Eric Y.!

The exact wording, if I recall correctly, was "Emphasize a Mistake."

Next Question:
Who has the dubious honor of winning the fight with the fewest votes? (Obviously, this doesn't include fights from before Fightmasters started releasing the vote count totals, nor does it include the rare weeks thereafter when the votes got lost.)
