Thanks for the positive yet honest reviews, people!
A few people mentioned that our vocals were hard to make out. That is true, and in my case it is largely because I somehow ended up having to record in the middle of the night while trying not to disturb my neighbours through the incredibly thin walls of my apartment building. Hopefully that will not happen again!

Coooooool, eager to hear it! It looks like we'll be sitting this next one out, unfortunately, but we should be back soon.

Oh, yeah! I was meaning to do that... *rummages*

P.S. Writing proper reviews for everyone is hard, man, but I'll just mention that I liked almost all of the submitted songs and that my very favourites were:
  • Jeff deSantis — beautifully sung, and "'til either you or the frostbite takes me" is one of the best lines ever.
  • RE:FLEKT — I wasn't a big fan of the growly bit at the end, but I loved the rest. Fave rhymes: "when it turned out to not be enough / I had pills that would make the very universe drop down" and "Oh, death, I no longer fear you at all / I don't have the mental strength to even tremble". Hot.

Thank you, everyone who voted! Didn't think I'd ever win one of these, lol.
I've got a better idea. You go in there and talk to him. I'm going home. http://www.facebook.com/#/pages/REFLEKT ... 011?ref=nf

For the record, that's a stylophone, played live.

Congrats Headshot! Well deserved win! Even though I didn't vote for you, I'm happy for you, there is some bad ass stuff in that track. i suppose I'm a bigger fan of the Rick Evans alter ego, but I understand the appeal of the rap stuff.

BTW I don't know who that Lucky Spoon guy is, but i have to totally disagree with his perception of how Song Fight treats rap. It seems to get a lot more respect around here than I would expect. Especially considering the Frontalot lore and all. Perhaps I just review too much, so his perception is clouded by one man's opinion.

Anyway, killer job! i look forward to more entries.

This was the first round of songfight I've ever listened to and I just registered to say that Jeff DeSantis did an amazing job. I've added that track to my rotation. Nice work.

Song Fight reviewers Vs., SongFight voters, perhaps. I see a lot of NMT on the boards but a lot of FTW on the results page.
