Really? I tried Reaper... found the MIDI support a little clunky.
Oh well. Mine's done. Might retouch it tomorrow, but I've got a mixdown.

I recorded and mixed one, though don't think I'm going to enter it. Just not feeling it as is, so unless I get time to have a swing at it again (come on, snow!) it can go sit in the pile of unreleased archive songs.

Just finishing up production... I don't think my song will go over well, and I'm not completely thrilled with what I've got, but I need to get back in the rhythm of popping out songs.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Re: What are you going to do to the competition?
I'm in, but with a bare-bones entry, because after overhauling my recording setup, I seem to be dealing with a latency issue. At first I thought it was just my bad drumming, but other tests have convinced me I'm getting a delay. It's the last thing I expected when changing from an old noisy 800 MHz PC running win2K Pro to a newer, quieter 2.4 GHz machine running WinXP Home. But I changed other details as well, so I will systematically try reverting stuff to see if I can fix it.
Meanwhile, no new e-drums on this track, or much else. It's my original template, recorded in real time with guitar in one channel and vocal in the other. You may hear the metronome in the background.
I'd planned on rejigging the lyrics slightly for the re-recording, but I'm out of time.

Nice collaborating with you on this upcoming one, Cain.
Good thing we got rid of Abel or he would have stood in the way.
Best wishes,

This fight will feature a song from a collaborative project that hasn't submitted anything since 2005.
Carry on.
