Very very educational, full of facts that you may not have paid attention to in school. Nothing about bodily functions.

Bah! I logged on for the first time in awhile and read Nur Ein was on and got excited, just to learn I have 11 hours left to submit and my day is booked! Time for some late night crap-throw-together.

No, it's due tonight. As in, just over seven hours from now.

Better hurry.

It pisses me off that I haven't written a song since July of last year and I'm not going to make Nur Ein either.

Good luck everyone, looking forward to hearing a great competition. NUR EIN

What I have is below my own standards, but it's only round zero...
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

I'm in. I haven't had much time this week so it's a fairly rushed number. It's inspired by Worms, I think it was the scottish team voices that one of them shouted out 'first blood' when the first worm was wounded. So it's supposed to be funny, kind of. Hopefully not an early exit, but we'll see.

In, yo.

Don't forget to put your lyrics in Ye Olde Lyric Archive. No sense honking off the judges before they even hear your song ;-)

Bah! I've been lazy too many times in my life.

Quick-threw together some crap in 30 minutes. I'm in for Round 0.

You know, the official page (http://nurein.songfight.net/index.php?title=Nur_Ein) doesn't mention when (or where, or why) one is supposed to post lyrics. Us latecomers are easily confused. I posted anyway. My song ended up light on plot, heavy on the "instructional" part in sort of a Thomas Dolby sense.

In other news, the Captcha for making an account on this forum is really hard if you're colorblind.

I hate posting lyrics. But I'll do it, just because this is serious business.

I made sure to start with a song Caravan Ray would hate so much that everything that follows will be a step up.

I am also hoping the judges will be lenient about the challenge. My song is a "how-to" of sorts. And it was educational for me because I recorded the entire thing on my iPad, which I hadn't done before. So don't disqualify me! (please)

I recorded my whole song on an iPad too. I got a little bit of clipping on my vocals using the default headphone mike, but other than that it went surprisingly well for a first effort.

I almost did this on my iPad, but then I couldn't figure out how to play bass above the 7th fret.
