Ask an eliminated Nureiner, that's one idea. Ask someone on the message board. Ask 10 people and maybe someone will accept.
In Nur Ein IV it needed a guest rapper and my then-9 year old son Jack did it. Of course that was an example where my cleverness didn't work again; I wrote the part for him singing as my son but got eliminated in that round. Kinda like Round Zero, Sleep Tight, where I was the only one of the 25 entrants to have the mandatory whistling be a lyrical part of the song, and was rewarded with a second-to-last finish.
I don't know if I'm comfortable with just asking a random stranger. And I can't be sure I'll get it or that it will be of sufficient quality then.
Has anyone ever told you that you're just full of excuses? Man up!

Where are these rules stated?

You can do guitar duets? I thought only vocals.
Again, where is this rule stated? I keep looking and all I see is:
Non Optional Challenge: Duet with a Guest

Dear judges (not Frankie Big Face)
What exactly is a duet? In the spirit of defining terms.
"Summer Nights" from Grease is mostly a duet, but when the backing vocals come in with the "tell me more, tell me more" is it still a duet?
Just wonder how strictly we need to stay with 2 and only 2 vocalists.
Were it an instrumental I would think it would e strictly 2 instruments.
Thanks! Sorry I had to ask.

Last year I "collaborated" with (among others) the Australian Prime Minister and Minister for Climate Change. Just sayin'....lateral thinking is always a good thing.

Dear contestants,
a "duet" is typically defined as a work in which two... hey waitasec. I had to look it up in an encyclopaedia, too, in anticipation of these kinds of questions. Why am I doing the work for you, I ask myself?
It's not really all that complicated. Look up the definition, consider the spirit of a guest challenge, read minds of judges, submit song, win round. Go!

No - Glennny and Ross are still whinging about stuff. We are all still on the same page. FBF didn't seem to be there that year - but we know he was there in spirit.

What is wrong with the youth of today? It is all Facebook and crackpipes and piercings and Justin Beiber nowdays. No attention to detail. No imagination. They make me want to puke my guts up.

Seriously. Interpret the challenge reasonably. Don't try to find a loophole. I'm sure that if the judges can figure out from listening to the song how you arrived at your interpretation of the word "duet," then they won't fault you.
In other words: shut up and play!

@ Jon Eric- STFU
@ C-Ray- Frankie was there in Nur Ein II, answering questions addressed to the judges, while he was a contestant.
@ C-Ray and Jast- Thank you for answering, though not directly, you did indeed answer my question. I did laugh, so I appreciate the responses, however if you wanted less work, a direct answer is the quickest.

So, to be clear...and to shoot a dead horse...
A duet concerns more than one. Phew!
A guest is someone else who isn't a regular. Phew, too!
There's no mention of vocal vs instrumental duet.
And there's no mention of with whom it shall be performed.

Those were hand farts, actually.
And a hand fart duet on Songfight
isn't quite an alien concept.

Do not seek the direct answer Grasshopper: By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. -
