Will do next chance I get. I think I'm fairly happy with what I got - it's a lot better than what I posted.

They influenced my "Hard Landing" a bit. Love 'em. Too bad they broke up.

Well, they write good songs. That counts for something. But you're right about production - I accidentally saw them live once and they sounded terrible.

I have a GK MB-150 head and it's very versatile. I run it through twin 10s for punch and a Fender 15 cab for depth.

You can get a plugin for GK heads. Chweck out some samples here:

"In Axes" sounds pretty close to me.

I just downloaded the demo to play with. I love the GK sound.

A friend of mine in Austin is selling this sweet looking 1968 Gisbon bass, with an SG-style body.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dl ... 500wt_1137

It's starting at $1300, which is probably way out of the price range of most folks here, but I thought I would post it anyway just in case. Jon Eric, maybe your band's bass player wants a sweet new bass or something. ;)

I'd absolutely love this bass. And I'm saying this without even playing it. I have an early 70s Gibson SG guitar disassembled with all the parts still in it's original case. I planned on that exact color of this bass and they would look sweet hanging on my wall of shred. ;)

I covered the song before, but with my shitty bass. Maybe I should share it. I <3 Phantom Planet - especially their bass lines and sound.
That's funny, I covered that song back in 2005/6 for the GOM. My voice is not well suited to that song. Great original song though.
