Got some verses written and started trying to come up with some chords...a few minutes into a promising chord structure I realized that it was "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves."
So yeah, back to the drawing board.
happens every time I do lyrics first. That is why I am rapper now, if you rip someone off by accident you can call it sampling and no one cares.

Headphones helped i think. Of course this is while it's still in Mixcraft. As I still do not have pro I'm going to have to do what i've been doing and record the music in audacity through [stereo mix] and then convert it to mp3....then submit it. Also, I think my e-mail has been hacked and sending nothing/junk/spam to fightmaster...If so I apologize.
What is Mixcraft? If it is part Minecraft part multitracker more info please.

It is possible to turn this to your advantage. Listen to a song, write something to the same chords and rhythm, and the next day come back to it. If you're lucky you'll have forgotten what the original song was - or your recollection will be too vague to reconstruct it. But even if not, you can fit a new rhythm and chord structure to the words you've got.
If the original was ACAD with the first syllable of each line on the first beat of every bar, make it AGCA, with the first syllable on the first off-beat.
This is the song I'm trying to rip-off and change for this fight.

It's a music editor with a big loop and virtual instrument library.

Hello, you hold my heart captive, a prisoner of your charms.
Production complete on "His last few days." I believe it to be my most incoherent submission yet. I hope you enjoy it. I look forward to hearing the entries.
I love you,
Daring Front

Because avatar size is related to penis size.

Well, I thought that was just kind of a given in this case. I will say, though, that I thought this was one of the best responses ever to someone who comes in bragging all about how they're going to dominate the next fight and all that. Perhaps we should make this the official response. Thanks for coming up with this, Ross.

...rubbish...
coming from a site with a logo of one guy hitting another guy over the head, I thought a little playful banter would be appericated but ...
Just so you know, I never talk more than I can do.
For that matter, I'll do you better, I'll give you two songs, just for fun, you know.
Because I can.
(....she exhales and thinks, dang I guess I'd better start thinking about writting something, huh? ) ;p

from the songfight faq:
To maximize Song Fight's resources for everyone who wants to participate, please limit your entries to one song per week.
Of course, that's not the real reason, but, um, you know...

So, I had a strange thing happen to me this week: everyone wanted to collaborate. Well, not "everyone", like Gary Oldman in The Professional, but a lot of people. I ended up having 3 songs for this fight. 1 is an original track I did, the other 2 were collaborations, where I didn't write as much (mostly produced/mixed). I guess my question is if it's okay to submit all 3, since I was only involved as a producer/collaborator on the other tracks? Also, can songs use pre-exisisting written material if it wasn't meant for song format (such as a film script), making it sort of original. I was going to take a friend of mine's script and read it aloud for one of the collaborations. Sorry if this isn't the appropriate section, btw. Worse comes to worst, I can just submit the one.

It would probably be OK, so long as you didn't tell everyone about it beforehand
....d'oh!

National front------ sorry if you were born with such a small avatar. I think there are places you can go to be normal size.

Just gotta get my song into final form (a little EQ, trim up the silence at the start and end, a couple rounds of compression to get the volume up) and submitted, but I'll be in.
Finished a version of "Ashes" today, as well, which is probably a better song than what I did for HLFD. Hey, Spud, is it too late to submit a "late entry" for the current fight???

Using that script would be cheating and goes against the whole point of songfight. When the challange is write a song in a week and then you do something that's already written then what's the point? but if you feel comfortable doing it then do it. nothing happens if you break the rules. songfight keeps going and you're not going to win anyway. I almost always cheat and I've never won
What you should do is put one song in the right channel, one in the left channel, and one in both. then submit that.
