The specs look good, fluf. Like Lunk, I'm trying to size my set up down and utilize my space more efficiently. $130 is a pretty great price for two powered monitor speakers.

Amazon has refurbished M-Audio AV40s for $110. This is $40 off what MF charges for them and they get pretty good reviews.

Those are [EDIT]not the ones I had which died on me. Granted, I seem to have terrible luck with M-Audio when others do not, so YMMV.

EDIT: never mind, I had the AV30s. Still, M-Audio, bad luck personally, YMMV, etc.

Sweetwater has a buy one get one 50% sale on JBL powered monitors. If you are still waiting to buy a nicer pair of monitors, this might be too good a deal to pass up: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/search. ... 300-series

JBL makes pretty good stuff, at least for home theater and performance. I've never tried their studio monitors but they seem to know what they're doing for those other two things so they're probably pretty good.

Yeah, pretty good deal. Tempting ... the 5" ones are a bit smaller than my Event 20/20's, and I'm in the market for something smaller, but, it's maybe not smaller enough...
