...and to go with our metal discussion that is now closed, I came across this tidbit.
Christopher Lee is releasing his SECOND metal album. I missed the first one!

out of all the Frankie Big Face songs, I actually like his 'Heartshaker' best. It made me a fan.

So, ever so slightly off topic, after the firestorm of the round 4 thread i was curious to go back and listen to some music by the judges I am not as familiar with. I notice Eric Y. removed the signature line that used to link to his songfight resume. Please no bashing, but does anyone remember the artist name he submits under?
Thanks.

Music by the judges:
Niveous: Can be found under Niveous, x-tokyo-river-god, Transatlantic Fight Club, and a bunch of others.
J$: Good god, do you know how many aliases this man works under!
Roymond: Roymond mostly. He's also in Intentionally Left Bank, x-tokyo, and some others.
Eric Y: The Voice Inside Your Head. He & I comprised Silent E. He has done a bunch of bass work for others.
VOStress: Has never competed in a Songfight to the best of my knowledge. Has recorded with Silent E in the past.
Mysteria: Has never competed in a Songfight. Been trying to convince her to play bass on my songs for years.

Baby steps Niv. You've got me here poking around and now writing again. I'm sure I'll stop using the bass as an additional closet shelf eventually.

There *is* a list on the Wiki, but not even
I am sure it's complete anymore
I am in the current fight, in my Jay String persona in collaboration with DJ Whyz (I guess Americans might call it EDM - we don't use that phrase over here). I highly encourage all Nur Ein-ers to get over there and give me a massive kicking in retaliation at my cruel reviews of your songs. but please review everyone else fairly while you're doing that!
I was also, recently in four fights in a row collaborating with Ken as j$km. Also any of these have me somewhere - Johnny In The Corner, Transatlantic Fight Club, Shambles Square, Dollar Bill & The Inkpoints, $tueym, Johnny Goes To Balham, The Voice Inside Johnny's Head, Ducking Stool, Ca$ham, Boy And Catarrh, Johnny Cashpoint feat. Future Boy, The Little Smokes, The Creeping Foam, Popular Electronics, The Dirty Allisons, Hoosenbergler, Mr. B & Mr. C, Frankie & The Falangists, Johnny Grippo, Benny Cemoli, Johnny and June, MC Shatner-boy and the suave noise youth, Lonbobby & Johnny Cashpoint, The Molsen Twins, Says Howard Sijac, A Small Majority, The Solyent Spuds, Space Pub, Spacepub, Purdy Lips, Suave Noise Youth, Jay String, A Fluxus of Weasels, Three Finger Salute, Black Russian Futurists, X-Tokyo-River-God (some but not all of them - and I never worked out the anagram, Niv)
But I would point out, as I always do, I am *not* Johnny Cash Machines or Johnny Cashpoint's Evil Twin.
The Voice Inside Johnny's Head (me and Eric) - is on my list of favourite collabs of all time evah -

Wasn't X-Tokyo-River-God an anagram, like Suave Noise Youth was?

I work with the Berkeley Social Scene every February on FAWM. Last year, we did a Choose Your Own Adventure album called
Turn to Page. It was the story of an art thief and his life after jail. You can hear one of the songs from this album in the Songfight Archives:
Right There at the Edge. Another song from the album was
Red, which was the story of the art thief going back to a life of crime. In that song, Glennny showed off a very nice falsetto on the chorus which prompted me to say "Next Nur Ein- there should be a falsetto challenge". And now here we are, a year later.

I know I hinted at sending in a "nur tote" submission for this round to reclaim my metal rep, but I think I might work on some other studio projects instead. I'm taking a lot of stories that I make up for my kids and turning them into story recordings. Did anybody ever listen to this as a kid?

Not much time this week. It's the microwave instead of the slow roast.

I actually had to check to see if that was something I had done and had forgotten about.
Thankfully - no, it wasn't.
