BLT, if you scroll up a few posts, you'll see Niveous posted instructions on how to vote. Unfortunately for you though, you do have to have participated (as a judge or contestant) to be eligible to vote.

Scroll up?! LunkBrah, I am the guy that buys Goober with the peanut butter and jelly in one jar. I don't have the time to be opening all kinds of jars and dirtying all kinds of silverware for a PB&J, brah.

Carlo: I'm normally the first to complain about overlong songs, but it's the last minte of this that is my favourite. I mainly like the beat of it and the droney, jammed guitars. I kind of hoped for more of an outro than a fade-out, however it does work well as an "ending song" for your output in the competition.

Paco: I do like the jangle in your guitars, but they're a bit more R.E.M. than Smiths (i.e. not quite as inventive/interesting). Makes me think of the B-52's. Surf-rock is a genre I want to like slightly more than I do, cos surfing is cool. Good job mainly but I can't remember the melody after repeated listens.

X-Tokyo: Why does this song always come on at the end of the fight? I must have heard it a million times! Damn you.

I vote for Slade.

Congrats, Carlo to a long fought battle. Paco was a worthy opponent for the finals, but you managed to be the Only One!

Hail the new Nur Ein!

Congratulations, Carlo! Well deserved and I tip my cap to you. Now stick around or at least come back for next year's EIN!, eh?

Thanks again to Niveous, the judges, fellow contestants, and all who listened. NUR EIN! is the nuts, and all of you make it great. Good thing about losing is, I can compete again next year. Of course if I had won, I'd have been a two-time champ and would have had to disregard the judging honor to try for three. Right Frankie? ;) Until next year...NUR EIN!!!!!!!!

I think some quick feedback is in line...

Carlo - Congrats for a first-entry win. You played to win, it seems, and didn't hold back through the end.
- I love the unhinged guitar in the left channel, also love the tremolo sustained chords
- Bass lines are a nice counter throughout, great in the intro
- Nice vocal effects, and great phrasing. It helped keep me on my toes
- Your broken english is endearing. I like the redemption part, the bastards getting the revenge they deserve
- There's a tremendous build in the outro, with the whispers, backing vocals, guitar fading back in. This really wrapped up nicely!

Paco - another grand round well done! As in other finals, you didn't lose this, you simply didn't win.
- Your guitar parts are, as usual, amazing. Arpeggios, those riffs in the left channel first verse are just great
- The harmonic changes are incredible, very Zappa-esque with your sliding half tones
- Precision bass playing really nails it down
- It's a non-stop drive through-out which is quite a ride. I do wish there was a contrasting section...something spacey
- Maybe the ending comes too suddenly, without retardando, but the guitar licks throughout are most accommodating!

I'm exhausted. I've listened to these two back-to-back for two days and never tired.
Another tremendous Nur Ein all you crazy competitors! Thank you for all the great music.

Congrats, Carlo Bruno Mars jr. You laid out true drums and guitar music that couldn't be denied.

I'm really happy to see Paco make it to this point. Sometimes I feel that he doesn't get the appreciation he deserves.

Charlie, now you can proudly yell from the mountain high, THE STINK IS NUMBER 2! Image

Congratulations Carlo! You knocked it out of the park and truly deserve the champions crown. A totally fucking epic song to finish a run of great songs.

Loved your song too, Paco. You definitely made who to vote for a difficult decision. The world can always do with more songs inspiring people to keep going when things are shit, and I think you nailed that with your song. I really liked it.

Huge respect to Niveous and the judges for making this all happen. That was awesome.

NUR EIN!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words, all. But it's Carlo's time in the sun, he deserves it. Raw, genuine and organic, he is. Great stuff.

Heh. I was going to break it down, but felt I had done that on too many songs. Hence the guitars dropping out, and back in, during the last verse to let it breathe a bit. Next year, more dynamics!

Mr. Del Stinko, Thanks for the kind words you've always dedicated to me. I'm listening to your entries in SongFight and I am very surprised with your version less BPMs, very enjoyable stuff you should insist on, leaving very remarkable things. Leaving the player looking for more gems of that LowStinko stuff.

Thanks also to everyone else around here. I am very happy with the work I've done these eight weeks and I'm sure it would have been like if not for the feedback I've found here. It's been a huge privilege to have this qualyfied audience for my work. It is very uncommon to know that my work is going to get a hearing and an analysis as you did with my songs. I have not lost a single word of your reviews. Thank you. Lots of respecto to you all. Everything I keep of this experience is fucking great and has been a fantastic time that who does not want to repeat?

Winning is great and also means a lot to me.
