Thanks for pointing out Muse. I haven't heard of them before; their music seems a little "out there", but like you say, more accessible than Radiohead.
Another band that reminds me of older, rockier Radiohead (similar voice, but without the gadgets), is
Sleeping At Last. "Currents", "A Skeleton of Something More" and "Trees" are fun, relaxing. I'll take this over Kenny G any day (except the day I'm heavily compensated to choose otherwise).

Neutral Milk Hotel.
Their album <i>The Aeroplane Over The Sea</i> is quite awesome, with the slight exception of track 8.

I'm currently listening to the ice machine. It makes a ton and a half of ice per hour. Now I'm listening to the phone...now I'm listening to Barney telling me that the fish will be delayed cause the truck got hung up on the ferry dock, (high centred). Now I'm listening to my keyboard go clickity clickity. Now I'm listening to Marianne tell the crew that lives on the island that we'll be delayed a few more minutes while we wait for the fish and the townies. Now I wish I was listening to the new U2 album like I was gonna last night before the power went out... I seems to be their best in years....

Good News for People Who Love Bad News, by Modest Mouse
Rubber Soul, by The Beatles
Smile, by Brian Wilson
Skylarking, by XTC
Satanic Panic in the Attic, by Of Montreal
A Ghost is Born, by Wilco
More Adventurous, by Rilo Kiley
Pinkerton, by Weezer
Odelay, by Beck
And certain songs on Give Up, by the Postal Service, are absolutely FANTASTIC, and some, not so much the case. EDIT: I lied, the entire Postal Service CD is pretty great. It just had to grow on me a bit more.
Everything else I got wasn't as good.

i got that CD when i was in indy... it was pretty good... it has like 3 or 4 really awesome songs... and the rest were so-so...
i'd like to hear some of their older material... i've known about them for a long time... but never did get anything of there's till that...

as i was channel surfing last night, after "jackass" (a guilty pleasure), this video came on and as i was watching and listening, i kept thinking this sounds like Puce, or something Puce could like and relate to. it was so good i stuck around until the end to catch their name. they are called Muse. i gotta get me some Muse.
