Tom Petty's "Learning to Fly"
That's doable. It's a super easy chord progression (F/C/Am/G).

Actually seeing as it's Philly I should have said "Yo!" but yes you are correct

incredibly, i used to play this song when i had a band. i think i know all the words still, and i know i know the bass part (and the lead guitar part too but not the solo)...
(also i've brushed up on my coolio, although somebody else better know the words)
(also also niveous, asya wants to hear you play 'feed the tree' -- she even offered to sing with you if you're willing) (i've never played it, but we've got the cd with us; i'll check it out tonight, just in case.)

If Asya will sing with me, I'm down for it.
I'm surprised she doesn't wanna try doing "Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe". (Though I can only find the bass tabs)

ok, this might be a long shot, but i am having trouble locating an old pm. as i recall i offered a copy of this album "reflections" by convulse to someone - perhaps it was niveous? - and i can bring it to pa if that person i offered it to will be there. sorry this has taken so long to iron out.

soooooooooo i'm going to bed soon, and we'll be leaving here (reading) by 11 at the latest (checkout time) so we'll be in wayne by approximately noonish, and probably wanting some lunch...
i haven't seen any definite ideas regarding meeting anybody so maybe we'll just wander the streets aimlessly hoping to run into somebody else similarly aimlessly wandering. or maybe i will try calling one of the cryptograms included earlier in this thread. or maybe if somebody else has something happening and wants to invite us i could be reached at four-one-two-three-seven-seven-five-nine-oh-five

I'll be hitting Wayne around 12 as well. We can do lunch. I'll meet you at the church/rec center/place where we are doing the rocking.

okay, we'll be at the gig venue by noon, and eat some lunch someplace... and then quickly i'd like to trek over to guitar center (evidently plymouth meeting is only about 14 minutes away) because i find myself lacking any bass picks (i have nearly six dozen at home, i just forgot to bring any).
so in case anybody is still reading here this morning, that's my plan... and if anybody wants to come along, feel free.
[edit] oh yeah, and stuey... if you should happen to have an itty-bitty phillips-head screwdriver handy, that would be awesome. not an emergency, just it would be helpful.

So very very very tired. Everyone was awesome. Crates/MMCM never turned up, not sure what happened them. I'll do a more coherent post tomorrow with some photos and everything. Thanks to everyone who came. (And thanks if you gave money, it was really helpful in covering the costs of stuff.

So last night was pretty fun.
I had work till 4, so I didn't show up till then. But when I got there everyone was kinda spread apart and being very quiet and not talking to one another. Antisocial bunch. So my mum and I walked up to Rite-Aid and got labels and a sharpie pen and made people wear nametags and by the end of the night everyone was mingling and (I think) enjoying themselves.
Again, thank you so much to everyone who showed up and played and you were all awesome. Its a shame more “outsidersâ€

I had a really good time. I realize I'm not the most talkative guy in the bunch, and "mingling" is not exactly my most highly-developed skill, but I always love putting faces to names. And of course there's nothing else quite like watching live music.
Thanks again to Bjam and StueyM for putting all this together. Having helped organize the Lancaster gathering a few years back, I know what a huge job this can be.

I don't know your setlist....
My set list was:
Listen Close
Secrets
Not Enough Liquor
Shreds
(and then Frankie and I did Tiny Room at the end of the night)
