Home safely after some car repairs. En route to Boston from NYC, there came a gradually increasing thump from my left front wheel. After dropping Bjam off it was noticeably worse so I pulled into a shop. They told me the lug nuts were all loosened (someone probably tried to have a go at my hubcap during the night), and I was lucky the wheel didn't fall right off on the highway. Phew! It was a quick fix though, and now I'm home and taking a nap.

Nice to meet everyone, and I'll upload my photos as soon as I can.

4. A Walk in the Park (SUK)

I had a tremendous time! It was great to see some old friends and especially to meet new folks and put faces with (screen)names. Thank you especially to JB and Roymond for being great guides for my first trip to NYC.

... oh, yeah, back home in ATL safe, sound and thoroughly exhausted... :)

Holy moly, ujnhunter and I are in the same pose in this photo.

I enjoyed SF:NYC2 a lot a lot a lot. So much fun. It was pretty much the perfect number of attendees where you got to have a decent conversation with ~90% of the people there. It was awesome to see old friends and make new ones. The prior Saturday night caught up to me mid-Sidewalk so I just sat there in a complete daze due to being so exhausted. But from what I recall everyone was spectacular the entire day :D

A few quick highlights
-Crabs on Banjos. You guys are crazy. Great way to end the night.
-Sidewalk Cafe is a looooovely venue. Perfect for this sort of event.
-J$'s dancing is just epic. So fantastic.
-Frankie's songs. I need to just cover all your songs right now.
-What a delicious spread Songfighters can put on! Next time: Songfight potluck.
-Elaine's acapella song in the park was awesome. I had never heard your stuff before, and it was really good!
-Caravan Ray's daughter is mad adorable.
-My god it was freaking freezing in the park.

And big big big thanks to Jim for driving me there and back. It was super duper nice of him. We enjoyed Frankie's donuts on the ride back up to New England :D And thanks to JB and Noah for letting us crash at your place. I rather enjoyed my duvet cocoon in the corner of the floor :P

Yay Songfight! (And I promise to actually submit something when I'm not at silly college [I think I got threats of physical/verbal abuse if I don't, so I'm not sure if I even really have a choice... ])

I don't exactly remember my set order. I just kind of got up and played, I didn't really prepare a list. I think I did:

Dizzy Spells
Hey Ruth
God Hates Penguins
Red Zero
Half Empty/Half Full (featuring Caravan Ray)
I Know My Rights

That's all I can remember.

I like how in every picture no one wants to get any closer together than about six feet.

The Proposal

I was just pointed the other day to look at a facebook album of a sweet-sixteen party. The teenagers were mostly piled together in a kind of flying spaghetti monster. This suits me better.

Flying back today but I have some great pictures which I will get to upload thursday. More gushing post to follow as well, but quickly before check-out, wanted to say I had a fabulous time and it was great to meet so many people who I have only known through the boards up 'til now.

I'll be back, no doubt!

Odd to see that of all the pictures posted so far, I seem to be in none of them even though there is actually one of the other 2/3 of our band...

I have a couple pictures of you, Bill. One is you looking weirdly down at your feet during the Prospect Park event, and I have a couple of you with X-Tokyo although I think your face is partially obscured by a microphone unfortunately. I'll post them later tonight.

I have mostly decent pictures of everyone who performed, which I will post later this evening.

You look like you might have a slight smirk. So I'm assuming you saw Elaine about to take the photo, looked over at me to see how cool I was standing. After which you proceeded to copy my stance... the evidence is there of you not quite getting your feet into the correct position in time for the shot proves this theory.

haha... I'm just teasing of course!

Bill wasn't in XTRG.

I have a bunch of photos too but it'll be a while before they get posted. Life is a bit uglier than it needs to be right now. :(

Thanks again to everyone for coming. The show was a blast. I have listened to the recordings and they are very good.
The first song of a lot of the sets didn't come out. And the CDs are in tracks but they aren't split in the right places, so some patchwork needs to be done.
