Errrr.... just listened to my song on my work computer on headphones for the first time. Sounds a bit different. Vocals are a bit off in the mix. Hmmm....

I don't have webspace. Well, I do - but I don't know how to use it.
Anyone want to volunteer to put mine somewhere? (not BLT's mum again though. Too many cookies)

Re: A No Twists Original Flava Cover Fight
Sorry to be a bother but that's not the final version that I had posted of the Minty Handy Tomato Orchestra. The final version has a MUCH better vocal mix and some harps and some other stuff.

No problem, that's why I asked people to check. Updated version should be posted now, let me know if it's not. I redownloaded from the URL you gave me...

I may also send a different version. My track has far too much silence at the end.

Hey Charles, the original is wrong for Lonbobby covers Idiot Kings "Boarding Call". We're getting Lonbobby's original entry instead of Idiot Kings.

Re: A No Twists Original Flava Cover Fight
Still working on it Roymond, yesterday was a comedy of errors... still sick and don't have a voice (take a week's vacation and be sick the whole time, whee!), was deep in headphones doing computer drums when the power went out (I only noticed because the room--but not the monitor--went dark, and Kimi screamed. If y'all have a desktop machine, buy a UPS!). Coupla hours later, power's back on, but the router's fried. Dug some 10baseT hubs out of the graveyard and strung Cat5 across the house, reconnected the machines, and called Comcast. Home network was up for all of five minutes, then tits up it went. Said fuck it, made a cocktail, and watched bad tv, frustrated and irritated with the gods of technology and my inadequate sacrifices at their altar.
Violin (in lieu of vocals) and horns today, and ship, inshallah.
Edit 15 minutes later: Finding out I still can't get Kimi's PC online. Wish I had the cash to make this a Mac-only house, oy.
Edit hour+ later: Hub ≠ Router. Goddamn it!

Re: A No Twists Original Flava Cover Fight
Hey, I'm sorry, Tuuur. I am sick as a dog (ironic, since I said a couple weeks ago that I rarely get sick) and have not been able to do vocals. I had planned on finishing this last weekend to be done on time, and got hit with the mother of all colds. It's not going away, either. As soon as I can go 10 minutes without coughing or sneezing I'll finish your song... I haven't listened to any of these either, BTW. (sort of a self-imposed rule to alleviate the guilt I'm feeling right now)

Re: A No Twists Original Flava Cover Fight
I guess i thought at some point i'd listen to and review all of these, but that opportunity just does not seem to come, so as the year ends, let me be sure to say how much i enjoyed #'s cover of my "Evil April." You guys picked the right song to cover and you nailed it in your own way - i especially liked the accordian bit. Great work.
I also wanted to say how much i appreciate everyone's positive feedback on my cover of BLT - it is hard to imagine a less likely coverer/coveree combination (except maybe octothorpe covering me) and i am happy that my effort paid off.
Merry christmas and happy new year, everyone!

Heuristics Inc. requested a cover. I let him down. I hope you like this, Bill. Sorry it's a little late!

Re: A No Twists Original Flava Cover Fight
hey roy! i'm actually really glad that you stuck with it and did the cover eventually. i'd given up on it!
i like the bass a lot. this is a cool translation of all-electronic sounds into the physical instrument realm.
If I was going to suggest anything, some change in effects or voice might help differentiate the chorus and verse more.
But cool! thanks!
