yeah. i know it's fake, but it would be pretty cool. actually, now that i think about it, bush would probably decide to bomb canada. not cool.

cute fake though... I like their moxy

I'm no Bush fan, but it still would not be "pretty cool".

ha, and even as you mentioned... there would be hell to pay if someone kidnapped the president of the U.S.A. under the pretense of these kinds of accusations. Bombs away..and such a waste too, I particularly like Canada.

If Dan hadn't said it, I'd have thought it was real. How do you know it's fake?

1. because it's completely ridiculous

2. because it's not on cnn.com

What's World-cnn.com? And why didn't CNN have it registered?

world-cnn.com appears to be a domain someone is running a fake cnn site on. The domain 'world-cnn' is sorta almost a legit sounding, believeable domain name as far as faking a cnn site would go.

why didn't they register it? same reason we don't have song-fight.net, song-fight.org, song-fight.com maybe?

on cnn.com ...if you click the world news it takes you to a directory..not another domain name example. cnn.com/WORLD/ NOT world.cnn.com

did I mention the article is ridiculous? I feel like Ben Aflek in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Fictional characters *hand gestures* FICTIONAL CHARACTERS, am I getting through to you ?

*SMILEY* I'm really playin' with ya juan

No seriously, CNN is a multimillion dollar corporation, they should've known better than to leave a domain like that loose.

The story is funny, though. "This is f****** ridiculous." :D

Shame it's not true. It's really not that different to what the US did to Panama's Noriaga a few years ago.

What would actually happen if a President did a Bad Thing? Not Clinton-stylee, but if a president went crazy and killed people.

I mean, how do you charge one of the most powerful people in the US Government who can veto pretty much anything? I suppose the House or Congress would step in, yes?

(This is partly because of the article and partly because I had a dream along the same lines last night. I kept hitting the little hammer thing on the desk to get the President to stop talking. Then he sat down and just foamed from his mouth... Shrug, I dunno.)

Yes, the house would be in uproar and congress would be obliged to do something about it. Impeachment trials would occurr first, then criminal trials shortley thereafter.

The problem here is... the violence would have to be pretty much an obvious call. Our government today has a way of sweeping actions under the rug by dodging law and finding loopholes. Guantanamo is an excellent example of this. I'm not claiming that our president is currently involved with 'war crimes' and I think it's completely ridiculous to even consider that AT THIS PARTICULAR point in time. However, I'm confident that this administration could go too far, as to say I think they have that potential.

If something really big happened and we pulled a Slobodan Milosevich (sp?) or a Sadam Heusein type mass killing with mass graves AND this administration 'found a loophole' to sell us on... there would be much anger.

Hey, this might have been mentioned somewhere, but has anyone noticed that Fluffy has like 100000 posts? Apparently his posts are 100% of all the posts here.

And then there is me, 1.17% of the non-100% posts....

I'm such a slacker...

I can't be sure, but I think I was bumped up a 100 posts or so myself. Which is cool considering how many posts I put into the last board.

Typically, my 1590 other posts are not included. I suppose it could be worse - it could go down ....
