I don't know if Blue was involved... listening to the track, it doesn't really sound like it. Even if Blue was involved, you're still missing one.

Yokels Only, to my knowledge, was Jack Shite and Marcus Kellis. Not sure if Blue was involved.

Next Question:
Which Songfighter's debut prompted Blue to erroneously declare "Welcome back, prayformojo!"

Maybe too uninteresting?

My guess would be Mouth Reliant except I'm pretty sure he predated PFM.

That's pretty obscure, Jon. There are tons and tons of threads in this forum (and the previous two). To remember a comment unless it was incredibly significant is tough.

Hm, the Song Fight explorer seems to be gone, and I never got around to setting up a SQL database for this stuff (I just shoehorn metadata into the iTunes database).

haha, i missed all this discussion, but to clear this up, "yokels only" was technically Blue & I (I did all the music, he mixed it). i submitted it under that name since brody was also entered. in fact, I had just met Blue in person for the first time and gave him a CD of the source tracks for the "yokels only" track (birthdays and breakups).

the duet with Kellis was as "the mockingbirds" (for "so long atticus").

i guess i should read this more often.

I think the mockingbirds is the only one I did with Marcus.

So here's a trivia question that probably only 3 other people know the answer to.

Many years ago (probably around 2003), brody was going to do an "albumfight" with 2 other Song Fight! artists. Obviously inspired by the original albumfight (with ADD, JBB, FBF). We had even picked out titles and had gotten to various stages of completion with the project. But it never got finished. Life got in the way. We kept the whole thing really quiet.

brody actually recorded maybe 4-5 of the planned 10 tracks but I don't think the recordings have seen the light of day yet. Not sure how far the others got, but I'm guessing about the same. I've joked about it with the other 2 artists (I think actually in person with both separately, so there's a hint).

so the question.......who were the other 2 artists? (and the other 2 can't answer if they read this!)

I know one of them was blue (still with sonofsupercar), and I think he recorded the song "beautiful lunchbox" for it. I want to say the other one is 15-16 Puzzle but I don't know that for certain.

Nope. Neither is right. But there were a couple other albumfight ideas kicking around at the time, and I think Blue/SOS might have been involved in something. Same with Octothorpe (but they would be a wrong answer here too).

This was around the beginning of the #IRC. ok, too many hints now.

Oh. I know blue was talkinga bout participating in albumfight, so there may have been multiple parallel things.

If it was in the early days of SongFight IRC that means that it probably involved john|m (Dr Worm) and Sparks somehow. Obviously I am just guessing.

Completely off the cuff here, still half-asleep, so forgive me if my memory is faulty this morning.

I think the "Beautiful Lunchbox" thing was a Blue Lang solo AAD project.

sonofsupercar and Glenn Case, if I'm not mistaken, each recorded an album with all the same titles as the FBF/ADD/JBB songs.

I'm sure somebody will tell me if I'm wrong about these things.

so the question.......who were the other 2 artists? (and the other 2 can't answer if they read this!)
They were Octothorpe and sonofsupercar. The latter actually finished their album, but to the best of my knowledge, none of the Octothorpe tracks have surfaced.

(And then I read the backscroll...)

D'oh. Apparently, there were feuding albumfights going on at the time. Sonofsupercar was working on one in conjunction with two other bands. One was Octothorpe, and I never did find out who the third was. Apparently, at the exact same time, Brody was doing the exact same thing with two other bands/artists, and the two groups must not have known about each other.

I know it wasn't Glenn Case, because he didn't tell anyone about his project until the first song came out. Can't rule out anyone else, though.

Just as a wild guess, I'm going to suggest Ken('s Super Duper Band 'n'Stuff) and Hoblit.

Speaking of which...
I'm not going to ask this as a question, because nobody knows, but it's worth noting that I was also involved in an Albumfight around that time. I got together with four other Songfighters and we agreed on 12 new titles to share. The other four fighters were john|m (Doctor Worm), Adjuster (The Landfills), Chucky (Extra Credit), and Evermind. I wonder if I can remember all the titles?

I think the 3rd band in the SOS/# albumfight was Klownhole.

Also, Jon got one answer right. And one wrong. :P
